Write a letter to your drama teacher Prime Minister.

I paid a mag for bindings, $75, and PayPal hit me $3.50 international exchange fee.
Fucking Canada used to be northern us.

    $41 duty is bullshite

That sux. The 2 pair/2 orders i bought came without duty and tax. If the purchase is under $100 and its made in the us it should have no duty or tax. Its been hit and miss for me with cross border purchases lately. The dollar amount seems kind of random too. Good gloves though. After 3 years of touring with them i need to replace my spring gloves. The pole grips wear them at the thumb when im climbing

Was it full duty + tax? Or brokerage in there as well?

I bought these last spring, and they have maybe 40 days.
They already have holes in the finger tips.

Anybody have recurring problems with the draw-cord holds? Had one replaced once by FTP, but the plastic is cracking on the other one.

I've decided to just get a pack of these and get rid of the (apparently) shitty ones:

I'll have extras - so let me know if you want any.

So you obviously don’t take care of leather for shit. Treat that stuff and won’t dry rot, which is what happened here. Not a FTP problem, it’s a user problem. [emoji6] [emoji4]

I agree, look how dry that leather looks. Using leather conditioner just twice a season, I’m sure the insulation will pack out long before the leather wears out for most people. That’s been the case for me with my FTP Freeride gloves, I’m switching to RX next season to see if the insulation lasts longer on that one since it’s got the removable liner.

JT was also a bouncer at the Savage Beagle which was the most happening night club in Whistler probably also the best place to score drugs

between the shipping/ the exchange and possibly the duty I NEVER buy anything from America certainly not something so pedestrian as a glove

I am pretty sure what happens IS if the product you are trying to buy is made by some mfger in Canada then it is a competing product and so its subject to all kinds of fuckery

back in the day I bought T-1's from Telemark Pyrennes and they were cheaper/ faster than from MEC in Canada cuz there was no duty cuz there were no ski boot mfgers in the land of plaid and maple syrup

So my buddy trys the same thing with some T-2's and he gets nailed for duty , alors the help at TP put "ski shoes" on the manifest instead of plastic ski boots, so merde

whats really merde is i can't edit the post above this one

Skis are exempt from duty (but not taxes). If you ever buy ski shit down south, just remind the border guard that "ski equipment is exempt from duty" and they will let you through. Even they can't keep track of what's what in the duty rules. Hell, even when you do go inside to pay it takes the person 5 minutes of typing to figure out what you owe.

It's a stupid system - should be a de-facto $2000 exemption for personal vehicles straight up. I'd vote for anyone who would change this. And let me bring back more booze, too. If I can't get it here in Canada, why am I treated like a criminal for wanting to bring it over?

they got rules and regs built up over years and years ever since the bootlegging for all kinds of reasons which probably don't make sense anymore but they are all written somewhere and open for argument if you really want to but why would you bother putting your self at the mercy of a canadian border guard when you know its going to suck and that it will cost you cuz your canuck buck is worth and I would use that term loosely only 72 cents

you really worry about the price of cars and booze ? you must have voted for Rob Ford and his buck-a-beer

There are several reasons, but whatever. And no, I never voted for drug dealer Doug (Rob is dead) and his corrupt fat ass.

    Free the Powder Gloves?

    Bump.

There still a mag code floating around? The one on the previous page no longer works.

Planning to pick up some mittens. What would the collective do if you're right in between sizes based on their size chart - go up or down?

Also FWIW, I have a pair of OG gloves and the leather is still in great shape.

I'm right at a L and sized up to XL for some mittens I planned to wear with thick liners. Has worked out fine when I occasionally wear them without on moderate days.

    My original XL were perfect.

The latest batch are tight. I would size up.
