Does anyone know of any basic avalanche safety courses near Seattle? I plan on skiing Mt. Baker more next year, and I want to be able to hit the backcountry. I would like to not spend a lot of money on the class if possible. If anyone knows a website or phone number for courses in the fall, that would help a lot. Thanks.

Gary's program usually has classroom sessions associated with the local outdoor stores. It has been pretty popular with folks from the Puget Sound area.
