Jeopardy has this big tournament airing now that started with something like 150 past five-time champions, college toruney winners, etc. They will duke it out until they eventually pare it down to two who will take on Ken Jennings for $2 million. Anyway, my wife and I play a pub trivia game every week and our teammate is in the tourney (he was a five time winner in the '90s). His show airs next Friday, April 8th. Look for Phil Yellman. I don't want to give away what happens, but it will be a good game.

Yeah, it's a tenuous maggot link, but what else are you going to be doing at 7:30 or whatever next Friday?

I'm in the contestant pool myself, but they haven't picked me to be on the show yet. Obviously I have no chance until this tournament is over with. I'm probably eligible for about another six months or so.

No, he hasn't beat Ken Jennings yet! Ken basically takes a bye until the finals. Once they get the 150 or so other champions knocked out to the final two they take on Ken. It will be a three day final and however wins takes home $2 million.
