I've got a 32 up front with the 1 up 42 tooth in the rear with a 15 tooth (I think to fill in a gap) on a 1x10. Also put a rad cage on with helps with shifting. Great change and didn't cost that much either.

Wtf is all this bike gearing bullshit.

This the tahoe SKI thread, where we talk about what groomers you rode, where you ate, what fell out of the sky in your backyard, and what color jacket you own. Fuck off!

Working backwards blue, a little snow, at home and they didn't groom shit today.

Tagged a few stones today, but the usual early season bowl was fun to skin and somewhat not horrible to ski. And KW was blowing snow today at the top of 5. Must be getting ready to open.

Ottime never disappoints... Keep doing your early season snow dance, I really need one this year.

Good start but you forgot to include bitching about KSL, Vail, Why isn't x-chair spinning?, Why are there traverse paths in my line?, etc. That's essential.

Also, in other news, been doing a bit of hiking before this storm hit. Checked out some cabins in order to make sure they were shipshape for the winter, and they all look good. The rabbithole (Mt Rose Pass), is solid and seems like the resident squirrel is enjoying himself. The Foxhole (alpine) is now battened down and should have actually kept the snow out from this storm. And even the Mt Rose wilderness cabin (no idea on the name for this?) looked good. At least better maintained than I had seen in the past. Now all we need is some snow.

Hey Tahoe peeps, Mt. Rose is opening this weekend! Well just for the weekend and just a conveyor lift for now...But tickets for only $10. Think that's worth it?

$10 to ski a small, flat, likely to be crowded, mini-WROD? Hmmmm, I'm probably crazy enough to support their efforts to make this happen.
I wonder if this will help pressure Boreal to open up.

If I had my son up there, he would be stoked.

vets, I think you should buy the ticket but insist on skinning up. Wonder which way will be faster.

Boreal just announced they'll be opening this Friday as well, but, gasp, with an actual chair lift! Still probably going to be a small run with way too many people, sounds like skinning up just might be the way to go!

My next bike will be 1x 11. Maybe 1x 12 by then!

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I could do bootpack laps faster than either skinning or lift laps.
Thinking about an after-work rally to Boreal Friday evening. Perhaps followed by a $10 investment at Mt. Rose over the weekend.

He was referring to LP's photo because their guns make it look like Woodward or the lodge is smoking.

Their webcam is still operational and looks nice and placid. Turn off the fire alarm and get back to mountain biking.

It's funny when people think I would actually give a shit about bike talk.

    I hate that stuff!

They were definitely burning wood at Boreal that day, but not the lodge. Probably just slash.

Or did you mean Cheech and Chong were on the summit?
