Wasn't willing to throw the dice and hinge my October turns on the arrival of tonight's storm, so yesterday I inadvertently poached Boreal.
May have been the most meager snow patch I've skied in a long, long, long while (and me'n Vets have skied us some meager patches over the past 7 years).

^^^ Curious how much you get. Not supposed to be much spillover.

snow was slow comin' to the North Shore (T/D, specifically).
it was still drizzling moderately when I crashed out last night at 11 pm.
woke up at 1 am and it was still drizzling.
woke up again at 4 am and there was some white on the deck.
2" now at 7:30 and the plows have swung by twice in the last 2 hours.

That is indeed a meager patch, Dookey.

Looks like the storm tracked a little south. Been pretty quiet here in Berkeley since yesterday morning.

Almost an inch in The Grid. Nice and sticky like my shoes after last night at the CBC.

Just checked the doppler and there's another line of precip moving across the coast. Probably going to track South too, but may get a few more inches over the Crest in the Tahoe area today.

You ever notice how much better the skiing looks on those tables than the slopes in the background the last few years? It's a pretty consistent phenomenon.

Yeah snow went south. We got over an inch of rain last night in Tuolumne county.

I've got 2 buddies in town till next Saturday so no skiing for me as I'm trying to be a good host 2 two guys recently divorced so it's mostly a drinking week. Did a loop around the lake and visited a few drinking holes around the lake today and took em for a drive up blackwood canyon around 11am this morning. New tires on the truck did awesome. 8-10 inches of snow in places up there. Also an addition to good food places is Francisco's Mexican in Gardnerville. Good prices great food and superior service

sadly, no Saturday turns to be got since i had to work today (or at least take my physical so that I can work later this month).

and tell me about the weeping. I immediately called Vets to verify if those turns counted. He asked "Did your skis touch snow?" Me: "yes". Vets: "Did you make turns?" Me: "yes". Vets: "it counts."

won't be able to venture out until Monday, but may take ECPDR's beta and scope Blackwood. There's a few spots there that are smooth. Ditto for the PCT out above Perazzo.

sadly, while it's still cold in T/D, it's sunny and what little accumlated is fastly melting.

still, the sound of snowplow blades grating against the tarmac at 5am this morning was a welcome wave of clamorous beauty.

Heard tell that they got 18" down Mammy way...

Anyone get out around CP/KW today and have beta? I got up this too late this afternoon to poke around. Trying to decide if I should just stay here in the morning or take a drive. Seems like about 6" plus down in the meadow. Split, hauled and stacked a third of my season rent today. Feeling ready for some beers.

made an afternoon trip to elephants back. definitely the rockiest turns I've ever made. Nice to walk in the snow, but not great for skiing.

Didn't get too much accumulation at Truckee River level (~6200ft) Friday and Saturday, unfortunately, and it is melting fast. Headed over to SV this morning to pick up Mrs. UCL's pass and stopped for a quick shot. Nice to see some snow on the peaks.

My one up 42 tooth and a new shimano deraillure with one up cage is a step down shifting wise. Any problems for you?

My 1x is 11 speed sram, I've not run the Oneup but have several friends that seem to be quite happy with it.
