Austria accommodations: Jan - April 2015

We are an Irish American family of 4 moving to Austria next year. Looking for a seasonal rental from Jan - April, 2015.
Anyone know of a place in the Arlberg (Lech/Zurs) or Zillertal?
    Any help is appreciated.

You could probably get something much, much nicer for your money anywhere in Zillertal than in Lech or Zürs. Are the other towns around Arlberg not an option? The Zillertal is pretty large, if you don't care where in Zillertal, why are you limiting yourself to Lech or Zürs for the Arlberg? Can you read German at all?

As above, if you look at somewhere like Pettneu or Flirsch (just down the road from St Anton, easy to ski with the free busses) you'll get a lot more for your money. Even the Nasserein area of St Anton, or St Jakob, would be cheaper.

Both the Arlberg and Zillertal were recommended areas for skiing. I've not been to either and am not set on any particular town. My kids are on a Freeride team in U.S. We've had other recommendations, like Bruneck, but skiing looks more intermediate there.
I don't speak German but am becoming close friends with Google Translate and my German speaking friends...

Okay, well, the Arlberg resort consists of several ski areas that once were separate but are now all connected and run on one lift pass. Imagine one big mountain with a bunch of towns around it. It has been a ski destination for the rich and famous since skiing became a thing and in Lech and Zürs that is still very much the case. The other towns are a little more laid back, especially places like Pettneu and Flirsch, as suggested by coldwater. Even if the lift is not in walking distance it would only be like a 5 minute ride on a free bus. The St Anton website suggests sending an email to the tourism agency if looking for seasonal accom. They deal with this a lot and I'm sure they would have a good overview of what's available. http://www.stantonamarlberg.com/en/s...mmodation.html

The Zillertal is a long valley with several ski areas along its length and a glacier resort (Hintertux) at the very end of the valley. So you have the option of mixing things up a little more, rather than always skiing in the same (huge) resort. You might also try contacting the Zillertal tourism office, at the very least they should be able to give you some info on where to look. This sort of thing is actually their job, so there is no reason not to take advantage of the offered services. http://www.zillertal.at/en/summer/home/

Of course you can also use services like immo.at, but there you have the language problem and I am pretty sure that many landlords don't advertise there but would tell their respective tourism agencies about vacancies, especially for seasonal rentals. http://www.immmo.at/wohnungen-mieten-in-mayrhofen
