Fishing from Jackson to Craig Oct 12-19

My dad, uncle and I have an annual trip to Craig in October but this year it worked out we could take more time. The loose plan is to fish out of Jackson for a couple days, hit the Henrys fork Wednesday Oct 15 on the way up to the Missouri.

I am so fired up, with a newborn at home and very little fishing this spring I'm just pinching myself that i get to fish some awesome waters for a whole.

We will be staying in Teton Village for three first half. Would be cool to meet some more of you and if we go guided may have an empty seat a couple of days.

First question, who do you guys like for guiding on the henrys fork? I met Bob Jaclin at a tu meeting out here once and was going to go with his shop, or should i go elsewhere?

I spaced getting back to you. Sorry bout that! PM sent.

I like the guys at the Trouthunter for the HF but I've never fished with any of them. Had plenty of drinks with some of their guides...good folks from what I know. If it works for my work and family schedule, I'll get you on a river or two....HF or other.

I feel like I owe you a trip too, if I can swing that I will drag my boat up as well, maybe Schwerty and I can make it so you guys can float a day or 2 without throwing down for a guide.

i love the world in which you guys "owe" me a trip! you rock. we do have a bit of a rigid schedule so please tell me to f* off if it gets annoying. its all new water for us and kind of a bucket list thing to do this with my best fishing buddies so if it comes to it we would pay for the guides. that said i'd love to make some new ones and it would be awesome to fish with you guys and whomever else wants to join. mini? my dad is actually driving out from ny and there has been some crazy talk of him towing my boat. let me know if that would be of help somehow (it will save us some money on the missouri too even considering the extra gas). I get in sunday oct 12 at noon and will wade. my uncle and I will be fishing monday oct 13. On tuesday oct 14 my dad will be joining us and if it matters, he does not wade very well. Wednesday oct 15 the three of us want to fish the henry's fork on the way up to montana to break up the drive. let me know what you guys think and i will work on things on my side!

I'd wait to book guides. That's late enough in the season that you shouldn't have any trouble getting on the books. you can wait at least until later this summer or early sept to book. Just checked my schedule and I will be around. I'm gone for work the week before that so I'm gonna say I probably can't cut doing more than a day. You are welcome to use my boat around here even if I'm not able to join you.
