    Skiing Friendly Jobs

How do you guys do it? I'm quiting my 9-5 job this summer that forces me to be a weekend warrior in search of a job that allows me to be on the snow more often. What do you guys do to pay the bills? All these TR's make me envious. Besides being in school or being your own boss what are some good(legal) skiing friendly jobs that pay decent?

Sorry if this has been discussed before!

I would think that ski resort gigolo would be a pretty ski-friendly job.

You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

Here's one you probably would never think of: closed captioner. You know how all the shows on TV have captions now? Well, there's actually someone sitting somewhere watching the show and translating in real time using a steno machine, computer, and telephone line.

You do need skills, though. I only know this because my wife is a court reporter, but considering going into captioning. The hours are very flexible and you can work from home. It's possible to make 100K per year.

Contract code monkey. Make big bucks writing computer programs in the off-season, then shred/ski all winter.

Do what you want for money.

Just skip having kids, and you will need MUCH less of it.

so the key is defenetly seasonnal work

work the summer and fall ski the winter and spring ?

then you can mix up season, if its less expensive to spend 2 months off skiing in an other country then why ski here ?

its all up to you. just think. but working in the ski buisness does NOT allow you to ski more
    shut up and ski

what is the best job at a ski resort?

demo shop? (learnign alot about skis, trying tons of them, hoefully slexible hours)

a bartender/waitor job would be good but i dont think its offered...

any jobs that woudl let you ski everyday or have flexible/late afternoon hours?

This is the truth. I worked rental my roommate janitor. I got an hour skiing a day he didn't work til 4:00 and was done between 10 and 12 but always got a full 8 hour shift. There are other bonuses that come with a job with no real supervision too.
Move along nothing to see here.
