Honestly just posting in here hoping the forum doesn’t die.
But also to add that Saatva seems to be on sale seventy five percent of the time.

I think my Tuft and Needle is nearing it's end. Paid $600 for it 9/16. But it's starting to sag. Loved the firmness and support, but now they're $900.00. Wondering if it's really worth going with higher end mattress like the Saatva. It's 3 times the price and has a similar life span. Talk me into it.

The Novaform we have is solidly past the decade mark and still great. I don't remember exactly what I paid but it was under a grand by a decent amount. Money doesn't necessarily buy longevity in this market.

Not a mattress but body pillow review. I am a side sleeper and have recently developed an issue with my right scapula (feels like a soft tissue issue under the bone. Not constant. Most uncomfortable upon rising. Does not interfere with work around the farm) I am pretty sure it is from how I sleep on my side with my shoulders twisted down towards the mattress so the shoulder on the bottom really gets stretched and obviously I am predominantly sleeping on my right side. Anyhoo I did some Googling and read that a body pillow might be helpful and after a couple weeks of using one I have found not only does it relieve the pressure on my scapula but it helps me sleep better.

The one I purchased off Amazon is by SugglePedic. It is their full body pillow filled with shredded foam. This is a BIG pillow almost as big as me and heavy with a tube like shape. It is like having another person in the bed with you. It does form to you when you are wrapped around it which I like. Years ago I had one that was foam like a regular pillow with little give. I did not enjoy that one. This one you can squeeze and bend to suit your needs. It is also nice as a bolster to lay against if you want to stay on your back and not roll onto your shoulder something I think is also helping me alleviate my scapula discomfort. I do not feel it adds heat when I sleep.

They make several different models. Some with adjustable filling, cooling, form fitting and child size. You can purchase it with pillow case or not.

KQ, did you get hacked by an AI bot? LOL Timely post. I too am a side sleeper dealing with mucho issue. How easy it is it to wash one of these? I sweat a lot when I sleep. I use a CPAP and I wonder if the pillow will cause issues with the mask. I currently sleep with 4.5 pillows: 1.5 under under my head; one up against my chest to embrace; one between my knees; and one between my ankles.

Damn, that's a lot of pillows. All I need is one small little pillow between my knees to allow me to sleep on my side in perfect alignment and not roll over so my chest is on the bed and my lower spine is twisted which results in a really bad lower back.
Another side sleeper here. I've found that a 4"memory foam topper helps with my shoulders, but not my hips even with a large pillow between my knees. The only hip relief I can find is by rotating well away from perpendicular while still keeping my upper torso/shoulders at 90 degrees. I also have neck issues and recently switched to a 7" (!!) deep mem. foam pillow that has been surprisingly effective, and seems to help with my shoulders as well.

The pillow is washable according to the company

Trip Report (no pics).
Ended up with the BeautyRest Black Series One Extra Firm.
Went with direct from Sealy since their return plan was better than brick and mortar mattress chain.
At ninety five days, we discussed. Decided it worked well enough that it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning and then starting the search again.
PROS:
We got a new mattress three years after starting the discussion.
Side sleeping is a bit better for my shoulders
Looks classy with no sheets on, which is never.
NEUTRAL.
It doesn’t suck. We sleep fine. Underwhelming $1700 purchase.
Okay for fucking.
Black hides stains.
CONS:
Tall. I had to buy a 4” foundation to get a height I liked.
Tall. Old sheets don’t fit. Finding long flat sheets is easy. Finding wide flat sheets is shockingly hard. Trial and error with new sheets sucks ballz.
Heavy. It’s much harder to tuck the fitted sheet. Could be a back tweaking issue. Could suck during injuries.
Foam: Fuck foam. Even Extra Firm is soft. I guess it’ll never be as firm as a traditional coil spring.
Foam: the edges don’t have support. Feels cheap getting in and out or sitting on edge to put socks on. I’m literally thinking about rolling off the edge while fucking.

Can't wait to read 'ol Mike's review.
The non support edges sucks. It’s [emoji639]am at an Airbnb. I just moved from the bed to the couch. The no supportive edge…. I was basically holding myself up from rolling/sliding out of the bed. I could not relax to fall asleep. Do not experience this problem with our foam only mattress at home.

This does not sound like my Beautyrest Black which is an innerspring mattress (Individually wrapped springs). Mine in 12 years old so maybe they've switched things up. I have the middle mattress in a line up of 5. They called it a "luxury firm." I think there is very little foam in my mattress and the profile fits standard sheets but again, older model.
Edges are nice and firm. In fact I remember the sales guy talking to me about edges and testing them to make sure they were supportive.
Still love my mattress after all these years.
