BAKER- Twas Muy Bueno Today! (And More Snow and Extended Spring Ops, too!)

    Today was soooooo damn good
For those who made it, twas muy bueno. Funken said he got the deepest face shots of the season today. Only downer was avie danger still on the high side so other than a few parts of the Elbow we lapped, most of the day was relegated to the deepness inbounds.

Even better news from the snow report:
"Our snowbase, as of today, is the highest of the season and with yet more snow forecasted through the weekend, MT. BAKER COULD REACH A 100-INCH SNOWBASE BY SUNDAY. This week promises to be THE BEST POWDER WEEK OF THE SEASON!"

    MT. BAKER EXPANDS OPERATION SCHEDULE
The Jet Stream has finally shifted and is brining SO MUCH NEW SNOW TO MT. BAKER that we are announcing today we are EXPANDING OUR OPERATION SCHEDULE and will be open daily through April 11th. Mt. Baker will continue operation through April and for the last two weeks of the month Baker will be open Fridays through Mondays.

Kellie, MBS, and Spence- great meeting up with you at Casa for some drinks to finish off the day.

Well, It's puking again- and more storms this week (it was pouring rain @ 42 degrees at sea level on the drive back )
Sorry, we didn't have time for pics. It was that good today!
So in lieu of pics, here are the official pics from the Mt. Baker website today:

Baker looks fantastic. Utah was great this weekend but Whistler today was actually better snow conditions...plenty of white stuff in the alpine and some spectacular turns to be had. On to Cryatal this weekend...!
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.
