    Russia Summit

    Summer heliski 2005.

    One group a year only!

    Descent from the summits of 4500m up to 5500 m above sea level!
    Central Tien Shan. Kazakhstan\Kyrgyzstan.

    Program. 02 – 09 July

    Day 1 Arrival to Almaty. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to hotel “Astana
    2 July International” (4*). Rest. After lunch 6 hours drive to Karkara Base Camp (2800m), Central Tien Shan. Accommodation in Czech family-tents.
    Day 2 Heliski from the summits of 4500-4600mm. Lunch. At leisure.
    3 July
    Day 3 Heliski from the summits of 4500-4600mm. Lunch. At leisure.
    4 July
    Day 4 Heliski from the summits of 4500-5100mm. Lunch. At leisure.
    5 July
    Day 5 Heliski from the summits of 4500-5500mm. Lunch. At leisure.
    6 July
    Day 6 Heliski from the summits of 4500-5500mm. Lunch. At leisure
    7 July
    Day 7 Reserve day in case of bad weather. Drive to Almaty. “Astana International Hotel (4*).
    8 July Farewell dinner.
    Day 8 Transfer to airport. Departure home.
    9 July

    The cost is 2775Euro p/p
    Single accommodation +115 Euro
    Min group size – 6 pax
    Max group size– 12 pax
    Heliski guide – 500 Euro

    The cost includes:
    1. Invitation and visa support of MFA of Kazakhstan and MFA of Kyrgyzstan.
    2. Meeting and seeing-off at Almaty airport
    3. Registration in OVIR (police office)
    4. Interpreter (English)
    5. Accommodation in “Astana International” (4*), double room, B&B
    6. 3 meals a day in Almaty and Karkara BC
    7. Accommodation in comfortable double tents in Karkara Base Camp
    8. Helicopter flights for heliski, 5 days
    9. Guaranteed height overfall – 15000m
    In case of nonfulfillment – repayment of $60\1000m\each client
    Above 16000m – extra charge - $90\1000m from each client on the glacier by agreement of the whole group
    10. Ecological duties

    The cost doesn’t include:
    1. Local heliski guide
    2. Insurance
    3. Rescue works
    4. Personal equipment
    5. Avalanche beacon
    6. Bar bills

    Us Brits are getting hammered against the Euro at the moment. Probably cheaper for me to go heliskiing in AK with the dollar as it is.
    State Dept issues alot of warnings on Almaty, basically to carry a copy of your passport in your shoe or something. TwoPlanker was just there and did well. I've had a couple heli outfits there offer me a freebie if I just got there. Almost took a train from Kracow to Moscow to Alamaty a couple years ago. But all the locals said we'd be lucky to survive the ride. So I have looked into it.



    I wasn't being serious on this. Just got a mail from them and pasted it.

    I've posted some pics of The choppers. Some people sketch on those old military choppers. One of them is in one of jack handy's ditties about the guy that was so stoked to get to the top, he jumped up waving his arms...

    So the lb. is taking a beating, too, roo?
