I tried on the Tornado last week. I wear a 28.5 325mm Salomon. The Tornado fit better than the Adrenaline for me, and does fit similiar to the Salomon. It had a smoother flex pattern than the Adrenalines as well. The sizing is funky though. I ended up in a 29.5 that had a 324mm sole. FWIW I decided to get the Denalis because they will walk better and I already have a good alpine boot and as such the Tornado would be duplication.

I tried on Tornado's last week, but the closest size was 1 shell size too big.
They do seem to run a little large(in addition to the shell size being off).
Aside from that they seem to fit "normal" As in... not super tight or loose anywhere. A touch higher volume then the Adrenalin (which might have been played out because of the shell size issue). By comparison, the Dynafit Aero's have a huge, round heel pocket.

Personally, the Adrenalins seemed to fit the bill for me better. I'm glad I could hold off on $300. It is a great deal though

    So Confused.

Xtrapickels says they "run large" (but shell size is off?).
Assgassorgrass says he had to get a larger shell than his regular salomon size.

Was going to order a pair just to check em out, but now uber confused on sizing.

    I'm salomon 28. Can't imagine ordering a 29 tornado.

The shell sizes are weird with the Scarpas as the the mondo 28.5 and 29 have the same shell length different liners and so on. I believe the 29.5 Tornado has a boot sole length of 324mm. My 28.5 Sollys have a 325mm boot sole length.

Thanks for that reminder. I forgot Scarpa changes on the half size (as you go up).
    Trigger pulled on the 28.5
Since you say they run small, its a good thing I bumped up to the next larger shell size.
The 28 I was going to order is more like a 27.5 shell which would definitely be too small for me.

Whether the boot fits, I like it, and forsee using it remains to be seen. Fortunately SAC has a great return policy.

As usual, TGR is a great source of knowledge and advice. Thanks.

How did it turn out for you with the sizing? I'm looking at the Tornado and lost on what size based on all these posts. The 27.0 Adrenalin is the right size for me. It sounds like according to other posts that the 27.0 in the Tornado would run a little big on me.

Either that, or Denali gets phased out entirely.
check out pistehors for info on the Spirit 4. fully dynafit compatible, supposedly available in yurp this coming season. spirit 3 will be available in USA this year according to scarpa north america.

Received my Tornado's in the 28.5 and they fit great, very similar to my Technica's except that the upper cuff on the scarpa's is tighter, so that gives me a much better fit as I don't have beefy calves that extend that far down.

I normally am between an 11 and an 11.5 shoe size (usually closer to an 11.5), never a 12. My Technica's are shell size 321, whereas these Scarpas are a shell size 324.

Looks cool. I wonder if I could find a Tornado stiff tongue for my Denalis....
