looks like there was a wash out so they just closed a lane down parked a few trucks and went home might get to it in a few days

Bottleneck because of the Fraser stoplight. You can set your watch to it every summer Sunday around 11am. It's started happening in Granby at the City Market light also, but not nearly as bad.

west 70 on ramp in trailerthorne has a crater of a pot hole that has been there for a few years
some asshat tosses a few shovels of rocks in there every few months and calls it good
you'd think they could take a good look at this thing and fix it
it can run anywhere from 4 to 12 inches deep no exagerattion keeps showing back up over and over

If you wanna see a good example of mountain town politics existing solely for the sake of existing, Google "Fraser Valley Parkway". The only reason I looks at Maps was to see the routing. You can drive from the top of Red Dirt to the light at Vasquez without using Hwy 40.

there was a small fire along 285 that shut it down for a bit at the n turkey creek / 285 exchange. looked like started road side from burn. was playing disc at bear mountain and was cleared up by 5ish?? on the way back down the hill

Actually doing hard shit outside is old school "Summer in the Mountains". Most people just want to play cornhole in the street or go to some convuluted event. I only saw a couple people on my bike ride yesterday also.

I see G Maps is routing traffic onto the 4 bar 4 and then past the Rodeo out to St. Louis Creek. Good times for people that live out that way. You don't actually have to get on 40 until Vasquez Road. Pave paradise, make it a parking lot.

Got work done yesterday and today, enjoyed perfect weather in Denver and will be back playing in the mtns midweek. Hope all those people sitting in gridlock for hours enjoyed cornhole in the middle of Main Street and camping 15’ away from one another.

Well, I can't play in the mtns midweek (as a general rule), but I didn't sit in a lot of traffic (had a little) on Friday or Monday, and still managed to enjoy a great weekend on the Taylor River and in CB. It's not impossible to do.
