Last year I gave up and just sat drinking coffee while my son's team hiked the mogul course because trying to take any lift would eat up all of the practice time.

Yes, a 1pm arrival and you should be fine. Lots of folks bounce early and parking begins to open up again in the afternoon. With some diligent hunting you ought to be able to find a spot.

Hopefully they're staying *at* each of those resorts and not driving... 'cause that (and parking) is likely to be the most irritating part.

We're staying in Fraser and Frisco. We figured that this weekend would kinda suck, but the dates lined up nicely for both of us for this vacation so we'll just deal with the lines tomorrow.

I suggest taking the bus from Frisco to copper if it is convenient. It drops you off right up front of the resort instead of having to park and the take a bus and all that bs. Plus you have have a little apres ski without driving.

For Copper, try never to go down to Center Village. Lines for the Eagle and Flyer will be INSANE. Lines are better if you stay on the outer rim. Use the Super B to get on the mountain, then ride Alpine, Resolution, Storm King, Sierra, etc.

17-18k at Winter Park? JFC. Park at Berthoud, skin up to the Divide and traverse over to Pano. Easier than dealing with that shit.

I think the weekend after presidents is going to be equally to somehow more insane if we get this snow. The front rangers will be trying to avoid the crowds and traffic of the holiday weekend by planning to come up the weekend after.

Next weekend would be smart to avoid at WP as well. NSCD Wells Fargo Ski Cup fundraiser is Thursday - Sunday, so tack on several thousand extra hangers-on and the base area taken over by the hospitality tent in addition to the normal weekend madness.
