Grew up near 128. It’s so Much worse now than it was back then. And it was bad then. Can we also mention merging? Asshats that merge early create traffic. Use all the pavement available for as long as possible.

I was going to, but I'm a bit pissed at the EC Alerts going off every hour.

I think they should just start batch delivering them, perhaps in a 3 hour digest.

4 Colorado State Patrol vehicles have been struck by out-of-control drivers on I-70 mountain corridor this week

    https://www.skyhinews.com/news/4-colorado-state-patrol-vehicles-have-been-struck-by-out-of-control-drivers-on-i-70-mountain-corridor-this-week/

Best says the vehicle that sideswiped his patrol cruiser was being driven by an Eagle County resident. The tires on the vehicle were “completely bald,” Best said.
“Sometimes, the visitors are blamed for these closures or spun-out vehicles, but to be frankly honest, the majority of violators that we are dealing with are Colorado residents,” Best said.

Aaaaand a 17 car pileup today with injuries, again in Glenwood Canyon. Eastbound.

    https://www.thedenverchannel.com/tra...orted-csp-says

If people would just stop following so closely, we could at least lessen the number of vehicles per accident. I make it a point not to travel in a tight group of lolligaggers. I take it nice and slow, let them all pass like the angry idiots they are, and bring up the rear with them far far ahead of me. Ain't worth the risk just to get there first, let them get there dead instead.

Everyone must have had Monday off because Tuesday was not bad. But once we got to WP almost all lifts were down due to wind.

The front loader driver on BP estimates a noon opening for the pass. Looks like Stanley crossed the road. Ugh.

I'd wager that all Stanley slides from now on will be CDOT-triggered since they have the Gazex up there...
