    Truck jackknifed in front of me and blocked the highway on 24 out of Leadville today on my way home from Durango. Turned around and hit Freemont, copper, vail pass instead. That slide path that buried the cars yesterday is Re-damn-diculous. Holy huge!

    Cdots been busting their ass but they should have communicated this closure earlier. Posting that it’s closed after 7am when the traffic is already gridlocked isn’t helping.

    No shit. I’m next to a CDOT guy with a plow on a trailer who is stuck in the traffic too. Apparently he didn’t even know about the closure.

    This is so fucking crazy. CDOT knew this was gonna happen and made no allowances or coordination to stage parking, hold traffic, notify people, coordinate with the county? It's not just incompetence causing inconvenience, it's goddamned dangerous and emergency vehicles cannot easily get around!
