That's not fair. Forecast yesterday was pretty good, but, still, it started snowing about 11am, and the sun and snow just dicked around until about 1:45, and then it just friggin hammered. Yeah, in flat places, they can watch radar and put out alarms down the line within an hour or so, but radar don't work in the high mountains.

C'mon, Benny. Everyone saw this coming.

Joel yesterday: "Light snow showers should begin on Monday, then a wave of heavier snow will hit Vail from late Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning resulting in 5-9 inches of snow and a powder day for Tuesday first chair."

THE TIMING FOR THE FRONT AND SHORTWAVE TROUGH PASSAGE LOOKS TO OCCUR
MONDAY EVENING BETWEEN 6 PM AND 9 PM WITH WESTERLY WINDS SHIFTING TO
NORTHWEST AND COLDER AIR MOVING IN PLACE WITH 7H TEMPS IN THE -10C
TO -12C RANGE ACROSS NW COLORADO. THIS LOOKS TO BE THE BEST PERIOD
OF HEAVY SNOWFALL ACROSS THE I-70 CORRIDOR FROM AVON TO VAIL PASS AS
    WELL AS THE ASPEN AREA.
From the 238 PM Forecast on Sunday from NOAA.

Hindsight is so 20-20. I was hoping for it, but, c'mon, do you actually set your clock to these predictions? Burned so many times, and, on the other side, so pleasantly surprised, like when a thing moved in in the morning two weeks ago that wasn't predicted at all, and put a layer of buttah on the high mountains that lasted for two gorgeous days. Who knows.

Hey man, we aren't talking about your pow day. We are talking about a COSP officer saying that he doesn't read the weather report.

Yeah, all that money wasted on computer models and radar, not to mention training forecasters. Who knows.

People who drive for work and drive for fun, certainly do set their clocks to certain forecasts.

CDOT wasting the public's time is fucking retarded and they suck balls. They plow pretty damn good though!!

Well, maybe you guys should live in a high tax state that spends more money on services and highway infrastructure. You know, millions for a better forecasting system. Oh, wait, no. It's the west. Free market and all. Don't tax the rich, nosiree.

That's it. Why don't you move to New Jersey? Plenty of taxes and I hear you can drive anywhere in ten minutes.

My point was the exact opposite. You didn't need any hindsight whatsoever to predict that shitshow.

Also, I have no need to set my clock to any weather report. I look outside, and go skiing anytime I see fit.

Maybe you, and the rest of your Colorado brethren, should learn to fucking drive already.

Benny you stupid fuck, I have gone over this with you multiple times already.

Many of us in Denver are able to have decent jobs and still ski on the weekdays. I only need to go into the office 2x a week, provided I get my work done. Hell, even on the days I do need to go in to the office I can still shred Abasin for a couple hours in the morning and be into the office around lunch.

You continually throw this "cube monkey" phrase around like it is some sort of insult. I have a different word for it - success.

Have you ever even been to Boulder, Benny??? I know you are a Colorado local and all, but the fact that you think living in Boulder = "cube monkey" makes me think you have never been. The amount of recreational opportunities within 15 minutes of my house is absolutely astounding.

Please ski Tahoe or Utah next season so that we won't have to listen to your consistent gaper bitching. Stop cunting up the Colorado threads.

No wonder you are one of the most hated members on this forum. Pathetic East coast transplant

Not Abasin, Keystone. And then he hassles the employees with stupid questions about other ski areas. Probably calls in fake pizza orders from his cube, m-f, 9-5.

Yeah Benny!!!!! You are a Summit County local, so you definitely know best!

Don't fall down trying to offload the chair at loveland.... Maybe you will be able to ski the entire spring this season - we wouldn't want to miss hearing you complain about April / May in Summit County!!!!!!

Lol... Yeah, seems lots of folks didn't find the high of 20/40mph wind/0" forecast super compelling. Tomorrow looks like a nice day.

That drive was fun. 470-70 interchange was going nowhere. Clear Creek was going nowhere. I ended going over Lookout mnt. Took 2hr to Butler Gulch which is usually under an hour. It was worth it!
