Norovirus is the singular worst experience I have had in my entire life.

I'm up in Aspen (storm raced) and overheard on the lift that it was seven.five hours from Denver last night.
I made it from Monument (an hour south of Denver)
to Aspen on Tuesday in four.

I got nora while visiting the wife's fam in Baltimore, had to endure a plane ride back to denver feeling almost the worst I've ever felt. Actually threw up on the plane in the little paper bag and everything. Tell ya what though, I'd rather have a two day stomach bug than a week plus of congested cold symptoms.

Damn, 5.5 hours from Erie to Leadville last night. We were supposed to go on a hut trip today. Got word last night that the hut was recently occupied by a big group (of kids?) that all had norovirus and had to get "rescued" by SAR.

So after discussion, we all bailed on going to the hut.

I glad y’all decided to bail, seemed like that could have turned out quite badly.

I left at 9 yesterday, blasted up to Berthoud with no traffic at all. Toured a bit with plenty of untouched snow to ski then went down to winter park and took a spot 20 second walk from challenger. Practically ski on lift lines til 4 and then a slightly slower but extremely reasonable drive back. Hard to complain about that. Gonna try the same itinerary today so maybe we’ll suffer enough to make up for smooth sailing yesterday.

Today we were at the basin watching cars try to go over a closed Loveland pass then realizing it was close and trying to make a u turn only to get stuck in the snowbanks. Special stuff.

Fuck all the CDLs driving without chains on and then stopping in the middle of lanes to put on their chains belatedly. They create most of the traffic problems on 70.
