crazy ass shit glad she is aok that could have been really bad

slowing down these days was just thinking a week ago on my way back up how I used to enjoy hitting the westbound bottom of floyd hill at 85 mph rubber squealing

bought a dash cam a year ago everyone should have one buy one
my guess is 20% of the people driving have no insurance or a valid lic.

not I-70, but imma gonna bitch anyway

driving down 25 to the Springs early in the AM on Tuesday, everyone is truckin along at 80+. Including 2 state troopers. half way between Castlerock and Monument, traffic slows to a crawl as 2 illegals are driving in the left lane at 60. (out of state, expired plates) Do either of the troopers even blip them over? Nope. they pass in the right lane just like everyone else. WTF?!!?! f'n useless cops.

How do you know they were illegal?

Also, nobody gets pulled over for expired tags anymore. At least around here. And if they were undocumented with no licence and no insurance and no green card and no registration, absolutely nothing would happen. You think we deport and pull people in jail for this type of stuff?

Shit no one gets pulled over for no plates let alone expired tags. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont see a vehicle without a plate in Denver. Its wild.

I don’t give a damn about the expired plates. It’s the driving in the left lane, 15mph below the limit.
And 2 different troopers passing on the right. Where’s that enforcement?

Right, and even if they were, what are troopers going to do with them? Write a ticket? Take them to jail? Local law enforcement is not set up for this.

Yeah, I was gonna tape up the tag, you know, to be in full compliance, but, uh, it must've, uh...It must've slipped my mind.

I've admittedly never driven this stretch of highway because i've never been to the springs in 14 years of living in colorado but the speed limit there is 75?

The 75 limit goes all the way down to around the Briargate exit.

Your precise knowledge of Colorado Springs geography amuses me.

I commuted to COS for about a year. It was hell. I think I blocked it out until this came up.

I commuted from Green Mountain to Fort Collins for about a year back in the mid-90's. Talk about Hell. At least there was almost no traffic.

Well the commute from Lowry to KCOS was only slightly longer time-wise than it was Lowry to KBJC at the time. I would take a cot down to KCOS and sleep in my office to avoid driving back and forth too much. This was of course when gas prices were soaring to $3.00 a gal during the recession. Fun times.

Chopper landing on the westbound lanes at Herman Gulch... that's less than ideal.
