^probably not your fault, but people call 9-1-1 about this kind of driver a lot. Don’t make contact, brandish weapons or otherwise upset the flow of traffic and I’m good.

Looked like some solid Epikonic traffic this morning heading into the mountains... on a Sunday morning, that's a change of pace. Must have been the inch and a half of "powder" that fell overnight.

A cringe-worthy new public info campaign from CDOT. Your tax and toll $$ hard at work. Are we all British now?

You gotta admit - it's a pretty brilliant Sir David Attenborough impersonation.

Drove home last night from Utah, and it almost looked like Thursday is the new Friday with the amount of cars heading westbound later in the evening. With the snow coming in this afternoon, and a hudge 1-4" powder day on the horizon for tomorrow, I'm guessing the traffic is going to be the worst of the season. Especially with the SB on Sunday, everyone and their brother will be up there tomorrow.

As someone who has tried to do some marketing around that message... That's done pretty well.

^the production quality is decent, but seems like overstatement of the obvious. OTOH, it can’t hurt to keep hammering that message.

On a related note, Floyd Hill tonight; no one got the message.

I’m guessing it’s a result of hybrid schedules where people are off Fridays?

They should start piling trash from around the F-range in Burlington to eventually build the state's largest ski area.

For a $25.7M you could bring back ‘Arapahoe East’. https://hallhall.com/property-for-sa...91Y00002GwAas/

Deeper turns to be had on Ruby Hill than Summit County. People should have stayed down.

Talking to a few people on the lift, that's exactly what's happening. Some Mondays too. Even then though, I haven't had any issues on the upper lifts here, it's only busy at the base areas.

Surprised the lines at peak 8 aren't massive yet on the grand Colorado lift line cam

It's the confluence: New snow (of any amount) combined with the Saturday before the Superbowl. People aren't going up tomorrow so they are all going up today.

I'll bet it ends up being one of the busiest days of the year.

Friends from Denver left at 5:30 this morning and made it to Vail at 10:15. I feel like the lucky one sitting here on the couch banged up.

My wife took our daughter down to DIA last night so she could catch a red eye flight back East and spend her Feb school break with my folks. They left Frisco at 6:50pm and pulled into DIA 4 hours later. Knowing that I70 would be a shitshow, I told them just go where WAZE routes you......that was over Squaw Pass Road, which turned out to be a good move as I heard the I70 jam was 2-3 hours.

In hindsight, we should've just put her on a shuttle, but my wife didn't like the idea of her flight getting cancelled and having to sleep at DIA. Ehhhh.....she would've been fine.
    Old's Cool.
