I heard the snow phone lines are jambed up because everyone is calling for snow reports thinking the snow porn cam stake video feeds are broken

We left Boulder for Winter Park at 5:30am and arrived at 7 with no issues and came back the other direction once the pass opened backup at 6PM also no issues. CDOT said I70 was closed but we sailed through without a problem. I like the fake closures, practically had the road to ourselves and did not have to worry about passing through a gauntlet of Jerrys on Floyd Hill. Lots of drifting at C470/I70, other than that the only excitement on the ride home was plowing the neighborhood roads with my bumper.

Some time in the early afternoon, the googles were directing traffic to 103 Echo Lake route. that must have been wondermuss.

The locals really seem not to appreciate the through traffic, and have threatened to block the road. Totally illegal, but also kind of ridiculous that all the subdivisions off 103, Virginia Canyon Rd, CCP, and god knows where else are impacted by the 70 cluster.

Not to mention it not saving any time, and often taking them out of cell range/populated areas.

Google once directed me off of 70 West at evergreen and onto Little Bear Creek Rd to Idaho Springs. It was a fun adventure but I won't be doing that again.

I 70 was closed once Vail to the Tunnel. The Googles was routing people over Trough Rd. to Berthoud. It was spring and the K Town end of Trough Rd. was carnage. I gave two truck loads of goobs a ride to the motel, woke up the clerk, and told them they were gonna need to figure it out in the morning.

I think that was a bit of culture shock. Getting dropped in Kremmling at 11pm at night with the only food options being roller dogs from the KnG. The local tow truck driver just got all the vehicles out of the ditch and took them to the motel.

Like when it was routing sedans and semis over 4WD roads this summer during the Glenwood fires closures.
