EB Dowd Junction had a vehicle that pretty much looked like it was balanced on its side. Happened a little earlier and had tape on it, so I guess they just got traffic moving and people safe and then maybe tonight go and recover it. It was impressive feat getting it into that position in the first place. Bravo. Should have taken a pic but I was, you know, driving.

Saw that, pretty amazing skills to pull that off. I think there was another car involved and the other party was not all safe, sadly. (If this is the same wreck).
Also heard a semi went off 70 onto hwy 6 at Dowd earlier. Some guy at the bar showed me pix of a folded up semi. Icy area, with turns and an on ramp.
the drugs made me realize it's not about the drugs
Is it though? I’m thinking a resort that limited the number of season passes they sold (and thus at a significant premium) and billed themselves as exclusive and for the more hard core skier (:eyeroll) could at least survive and possibly even thrive. I have no idea at what the magic numbers are, but it’s got to be possible with a few million of revenue annually, which I don’t think would be that hard to achieve.
If Berthoud was a resort today and still private it would absolutely crush it. It didn’t survive 20 years ago because the front range population couldn’t support it. But today? No problem.
go upside down.
Skied half day at breck today, 2 hours up this morning, and 1.5 hours back, traffic was stopped west bound at 1pm from Georgetown to Idaho Springs, that was a first for me, good snow today

Let me know when y'all find a place to put a resort within 2 hours of Denver that's not on I-70 and that has a range of terrain from green to black with a east to north aspect and gets consistent snowfall and not too much wind and isn't wilderness. Good luck.
