12K miles/25 MPG = 480 gallons. Add in the $.50/gallon tax and charge electric vehicle an extra $240 year is more reasonable.
    dude
I can't balance a check book, I took math in summer school twice, couldn't get beyond basic algebra
pay someone too keep tabs on my check book and bills and all that stuff
so thanks for doing the math
I didn't do any math, I just guessed that the difference would be 1500 bucks
maybe I have something against electric cars too...... who knows.....
    it's all good

The obvious solution is to split the volume and make 285 a real highway to Leadville via Mosquito Pass.

Restricting trucks during rush hours and adding a slow lane for trucks and campers up some of the hills ala I80 would go a long ways.

They got sick of talking about a monorail so they changed the name to "Hyperloop". Try to keep up.

I had to detour through evergreen. EB I-70 was definitely closed, and I think WB was closed as well. Just your regular ol' clusterfuck.

WB I70 closed at the Tunnel, due to a crash. No estimated time to open.

It looks like the couple inches that just fell on Vail Pass has caused an incident.

Pretty sure it’s closed in both directions. My wife owes me dinner!

VP was pretty clear at 9am, but I had dark clouds in my rearview the whole drive eastbound to Dillon. Got here and it started coming down. Pretty sure a few degree temp drop and increased snowfall was all it needed to turn into a skating rink.

If you get dinner everytime I-70 closes, you're going to get a lot of dinners.

Ha, I wish... I saw the forecast last night of 2-4" for VP and I bet her that I-70 closes before lunchtime.

285 had a 23 car pile up this morning. And that's well before the "I'll take 285 to avoid 70 home from Breckenridge" crowd fires up for the year.

Take I76 -> E470 next time. Anytime I'm headed to DIA between 6am - 10am I take that route. Sure it's a toll road, but it's worth the peace of mind if I'm catching a flight.

Good call. I thought New Denver was a heady spot in BC but perhaps it is a system I need to learn in order to deal with the front range.

Side note: I've never seen such a bunch of self absorbed posers as in the terminal. Those are my customers. Yeah.
