That's further away, so we'll need to get even more people into the mountains so that they spread far enough to annoy that county too.

We are talking about rebuilding four miles of the highway. It's not going to open the floodgates.

I'm talking more of the bigger picture, not just Floyd hill, that's more of a maintenance item anyway, good luck dealing with traffic while that gets improved.

Overall, the I70 corridor is just a self regulating valve to control the mountain crowds. Most ski areas that I-70 accesses can't get much bigger than they already are, and there are no new ones on the horizon, so flooding them with folks is just the next step. Most are at capacity every Saturday of the year, what happens if you get 25% more people there?

People will adjust and figure it out, just as they always do.
At the moment, I don't think the spending bill passes anyway.

Uh, hasn't there been construction on this corridor for the last few years, except this one? This thing won't be that big of an imposition.

I'm moving. A lifetime of being annoyed has taken its toll. Plus some idiot will over pay for my house. So why not.

Crestted butte is where it's at

On another note I drove to Denver and back this morning to see my shrink. Traffic up and down wasn't too bad and driving to aurora seemed ok.

Then again s few morons in the left lane

I believe so. My Silver Plume isn't good enough to be 100% certain though.

It was a good little bakery with pretty reasonable prices. Just good bread ya know?

Yea I just looked it up. Same place. I thought so as the bakery just said BREAD in big letters on it. It's been a while. I was sad when it closed. Glad it is something rather than nothing.

Explains the name! I think they have a cool thing going on right now. Hopefully they can stick around for a while.

I like the idea of a cool bar in Silver Plume, but never want a reason to stop there, if you know what I mean.

was going to post the other day but didn't get to it
seeing as how the mountains went to shit friday morning

so my guess is one of the thousands of stressed out suvs or trucks that is pulling a camper it shouldn't be blew itself up after georgetown hill?
I just picture the saleman saying "sure your rav 4 will have no problem pulling this pop up camper, its only 2,500 lbs."
"your short bed four door tundra can easily pull a 40 footer man"
"the mountains aren't as bad as you think when pulling a boat or a camper trailer"

If they just could have made it to the "waterfall". Hope they kept that soup out of the creek.
