    Ideas for next year

I can't help but think about stupid endeavors for next year. I'm going to switch to Dynafit bindings, Scarpa F-1 boots, and some short-fat-light 170's to facilitate some of this.

Some twisted tours that would be fun retrospectively:

    1. Climb and ski the Grand Teton, Middle Teton, and South Teton in one push. Up/down the OS on the Grand, up NW couloir on Middle and down the SW couloir, up/down standard route on South Teton.
Traverse would be from the Grand (high peak) to the left (south).

    2. Provo Canyon-American Fork Canyon-LCC-BCC-Emmigration Canyon link up. Perhaps Provo to AF is a bit much to add to the traverse, but the others wouldn't be to bad to link up. Travel up Tibble to the Pfeiff, ski the Pfeiff and head out White Pine. Shuttle up to Cardiff. Ski up Cardiff to Superior or Cristo, ski out Mineral or Cardiff. Shuttle to Butler Fork, ski up Gobblers and out Porter Fork.

    3. Traverse from Cardiff to Superior/Cristo then follow the ridge to Dromedary/Twin Peaks. Then descend the N. Face of Twin. This would be more of a climbing pursuit than a skiing one. It would take all day and be pretty exciting in places. You would have to do a few raps off the west face of Cristo. Route follows obvious knife edge ridge.

And to get in the mood for it, I want to run the Grand Canyon double crossing again this October.

Xover, Powstash? You game for the canyon run?

    You are a disturbed individual.

Seriously, we MUST hookup for a corn tour / mountain party soon. I'd also like to get in on some slot canyons down south this spring.

Yes to all of the above.

Corn on Cherry Peak would be good. Perhaps mid April.

We could bike that in mid-September.

And what about skinning up the west side of Cherry, making a lap or two on the SE face, then skiing the West face of Cherry??? Looked at it today and jizzed my pants. And have an idea for the Wells...a super steep NE facing line from the the Mendon ridgeline. A bushwhack at the end but it looks like it drops 3000' straight down!

When I get back from my hiatus the snow should be bomber again. I'd be game for all of the above.

Your bro won't get lost in the Canyon. It's a one way road.

I'm in for the run. Once I get my house built by July I'm already going to increase training for a trail marathon in September and then I want to run a little Zion Park crossing (Run from Kolob to the main entrance). October in the Grand Canyon will be perfect.

F1's eh? Hmmmmmm.....perhaps I'll lighten things up a bit...183cm Havocs, F1's and Dynafits. Gotta sell my other set ups

Yes, everyone needs to wean themselves from Alpine boots to 4 buckle AT boots, then to 3 buckle AT boots, then eventually F-1's and Dynafits. Ya don't need all that 4 buckle crap, unless the video camera is on.

Are you game for the double crossing of the Grand Canyon? I would like to do that again, not the single crossing. It's painful, but fun in a sick way.

Trust me, they don't call him LostBoy Stoy for nothing. He'll find a way to get lost.

I think I might remember you telling me a story about him. Running endlessly like Forest Gump, etc.

When you're done could I have an autographed poster of all planned exploits for 2006.

Yeah, we'll include exploits that take place in '05 too. The signing will be at Dickwavers stores across America.

Those stores are generally located near Backcountry Elitist outfitters, right?

The exploits for next year look sweet. I'm looking forward to many more 'ing TRs.
