What do you guys think. I feel like it runs a littlemore low key and laid back, gets away from the standard big logos in your face design I can work up a front if you want.

Sorry for the MS paint quality, it's all I have at the cpu I'm working on right now.

My $.02....I like L8APX's design with the smaller logos. And I'm okay without the Whelk.
    Anyone else?
So I got that goin' for me...which is nice.

Okay, what about Voler? Can they do the colors as we planned?

We've been through the design of this thing how many times? If we keep on this track we might just have these things next year sometime. Maybe we should take 4 or 5 designs and open it up to a week long poll.

All I know is my racing begins this weekend and I don't have a maggot jersey to wear yet...

No disrespect but the alternative offered here would bump me out of the mix entirely. If the design issue has been put to rest, let it do so in peace, all y'all! Plakespear, if this issue is still kickin' around because you don't feel like the design is quite right yet, then I'd be happy to ask a professional designer (who knows mag culture) to speak with you via phone and come up with two final options that could be polled, if that would help solve the problem. But design by democracy, i.e., "What if you shift this a little here," is a great way to squeeze whatever life is left out of any image.

Good lawd I'm cranky this a.m. Better go skiing now.
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

I'm down with either design. I'm just stoked that you guys want to include the PMG logo on there. Count me in for whatever the heck the final design ends up being. Thanks.

I would get one of the shirts but that design is just asking to get crunched by a soccer mom in an SUV. Any chance of putting some brighter colors in that baby.

i really like the design, just not the colors. Optic yellow is my friend.

The Whelk image can be made of radioactive dyes or paints...it would glow, it would phosphoresce. Shining so brightly from its own internal subatomic decay, the image of our gastropodian superhero will sear an eternal message onto the corneas of the yuppie beholder; I AM NOT TO BE TRIFLED WITH!

sorry that this is the first objection to the colors not being "road safe" -
I dunno- I don't road bike, so I don't have a preference, but personally, i do like the design, but i'm PMgear biased

but I think the earlier thread proves that the majority are in favor of the sky blue/brown combo ala the Bro Model, so in the interest of time, I don't think we'll try any other designs. any more colors also add to cost.

To get this finally rolling & into production we'll probably give 2 final choices, then Vote-

and FYI, the Angry whelk i believe is under a pocket on the club/race jerseys, perhaps there is a chance it can get eliminated on the freerides w/o pockets.

Plake & I are working on final items before we can get the order thread up.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, now. I thought the Angry Whelk was an integral part of the jersey. UNDER a pocket? WTF is up with that? As long as I'm opineing, I'd like to see the Whelk on the LS Freeride's too.

And shouldn't you add GRAVITY RESEARCH under the Teton part of the TGR logo? As far as cooler logos go I like the classic or the classis with the heli added like on the stickers distributed with Soul Purpose. Stick with the original basic design with the exception of color changes to go with stock colors and minimizing the # of colors. Just my own $0.02.

PS: I'd also like to have said jersey(s) before September 5th for a nonconventional tri I'm thinking of doing in NC.

I appreciate all the time and effort everybody put into this. I read in an early post that the estimate price is about $25. True? If so, I'm interested. I have no design input except to request that there be no obscenities on the jersey.

How does Verge stuff fit (smaller than size implies? larger? More of a Euro cut?). I have a closet full of Voler stuff, so I know how that fits (if we go that route).

    Thanks.

The Voler geeky jerseys would be about 65, the freeride about 55.

    We could order them today.

edit: Here's the full, full skinny on the Voler jazz: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...4&postcount=61

edit 2: I think the $25 reference was for a deposit.

    Cornholio,

appreciate the additional work with Voler - are there set up costs or shipping included in that price?? $65/55 ? (or do those old prices still good?)
do we know voler's time frame as of now too?

If not, the Verge prices are looking much better, especially since there may be enough interest to get a quantity price break at least on the freeride style, because you can mix any style in each group to get to the 50 mark.- (based on this poll: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...=maggot+jersey)

    Race Jerseys:
    (2 colors) qty. 6-50 qty. 50-100
    Short sleeve 55 47
    No Sleeve 53 45
    Long sleeve 61 53

    Freeride:
    long sleeve 55 47
    short sleeve 52 45

I think plake told me if we reserve space now, and get our design finalized in a week or so, Verge can have this done early june.

i also can take deposits 25-30 each via paypal - and have them shipped here to distribute (so many mags interested are in UT so that makes the most sense)

Are we at a point where you can start accepting deposits and have an approximate time of production? I am psyched to start rockin it around Whistler and spread the PM Gear/TGR buzz.

And I definitely like the bigger in-your-face logos better! Just curious if we have now cut out "Gravity Research" for some reason. A lot of people will think our jersey is advertising the mountains not the kick ass video company.

Im also down with whatever colors, doesnt really matter to me as i dont road bike, as long as we get a freeride designed jersey option.
And, I would really like the whelk to stay on there!!
