^Looks so familiar yet I know I've probably never ridden there. Is that in NJ?

Found a new spot in Holdernes. Looks like the Academy kids have been doing some work. Ill add some pictures later.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

Biggins - how was the riding up at KMart? Worth stopping by if youre in the area or are you better off spending your time and money elsewhere?

More Mtn Creek Stoke - dropping into breakout.

Conditions were dry and dusty this weekend, they're definitely in need of some rain and a few groomed trails are getting blown out, but the jump lines and square edged rock lines are still in good shape.

I wear crocs for the style, not the comfort.

Any NE mags seen this trailer yet? Elliot says they're putting a ton of work into this short film (10 mins or so) and based off that last Jeff Kendall-Weed edit, this thang should be poppin'!

United We Ski seems like the first project these guys really did but if the recent bike edits are any evidence it seems like these guys have some serious promise. Excited to see this kingdom doc for sure!

Gust from out of the blue hit my table umbrella that I was sitting next to and before I could grab it the glass top shattered into a million pieces. Bloody mess I was!

Yup- worth both the time and money. I don't ride the real gnar, but I keep talking to HIghland devotees (Anospa, chime in here) who are stoked on the "old school, real downhill trails" that Kton has over most of the buff stuff at Highland and Burke (which are both uber-rad, Kton is just a little different, I guess). For me, the 1700' of vert and 20-25 mins per run set it apart. Plus Long Trail is 15 minutes down the road and damnit if that ain't the finest place to have a Berlinerweiss and some nachos by the river after a day of shred. Drop a line if you're up this way- I won't show you the super-rad (I'm a pussy), but I'll point you in the right direction and cheers you a beer or nine.

not dialed yet but it shreds!
What's funny is listening to you talk about the riding around here like you know anything. Waterbury is a shell of it's former self. We did a bunch of work to regain some of the flow the trail had originally, when they were illegally built. As compared to a lot of Southern New England networks, probably still fun. As compared to how it rode 10-12 years ago? Bag of spanners. We did about 1/10th of the work needed. Hopefully the local club can stay together and fund the rest of the work for Sinuosity, Brookes trail comp[any not mine.

eh I gave Brooke company and you guys props.

and quite honestly I do know stowe really really well. Its not that big of any area to know. You name it and if it still exist I have ridden it.

but i agree with your guys Erosion is a not a technical trail feature.

Ah, that definitely sucks, hope you rescued the beer before it was a casualty too! Probably scared the shit out of the pup.

Had a few blowdowns on my connector trail to the backyard trails. Gonna have to break out the 346 one of these nights.

Right on, sounds a bit like whiteface. Will definitely hit you up if we end up there for some beta and a beer. Probably going to be going through VT in August, do you need a full on DH rig or will a 6inch bike work there? Need to figure out if I'm bringing both bikes on the trip or not which will be largely dependent upon how many day's I can sneak off and ride lifts.

6" bike will be fine. There's no mega gnarl, but there are a few fun rock gardens, the enduro course touched a good portion of the black diamonds from what I saw on the map. I think I rode the double diamond of trail 7 and it wasn't anything heinous.

From the trails I saw (didn't ride any of the blacks on lookers left), the tech at highland is techier.

Gonna be up in the MRV for a wedding Saturday and looking to ride that AM and the next day. I'm on the fence about bringing the DH bike, kinda would rather do some climbing and find some sweet trails. I've looked at the Mad River Riders site a bit, any other recommendations?

I have yet to ride the Stowe/Waterbury stuff, so I was also considering that with a lap on Perry Hill to close the weekend.

I need to get fitter, so climbing is welcome lol. And no, either missing the joke or uninformed, but not a mormon wedding.

Climbing perry to the top is a good grunt, but hardly brutal. Better on an honestly geared SS rigid. Trails there are kinda beat compared to 7-8 years ago, but still plenty fun. Look up Hinesburg/Carse on the FOW website. Connecting that stuff is the shit.

Agreed on Perry, the first bit is steep but you settle in and get to the top in time.

Yeah, I did a Hinesburg/Carse ride last time I was up in the area, looking to see what else is out there.

just saying id generally be hungover as fuck after a wedding so doing some serious climbing is not on the docket. mormons dont drink at their weddings.

Check out Mobb's Farm or Saxon Hill, both well worth it in the area.

Hhaha, makes a lot more sense now! Yeah, we'll see how things play out, but I tend to avoid hangovers to the best of my ability.
