Id like to figure out some kind of loop from sticks and stones or behind Walmart in Conway, to Red Tail and back any suggestion? Any tour guides?
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

don't ever drive to CT to ride a bike, just sayin'.
CT for pizza, yes. MTB, not so much.
crab in my shoe mouth
I should be camping up at highland this weekend. Hit me up, Giant Glory, Green/White Urge Helmet or look for the white rav4 with the rooftop carrier with the GSA sticker on it.
I wear crocs for the style, not the comfort.
I rode Perry hill for the first time Saturday. Holy shit, that place now has my favorite trails ever!! Burning spear to rastaman, whoever built that did some really awesome work!
We hit up Hinesburg and Carse Hill yesterday which was almost as good in parts, really long and fun descents for relatively easy climbs.
it funny to read davevt say how messed up it is and how much you love it. Perry Hill is pretty awesome though and dave and his trail company are doing work down there to make it truly better.
Ride Joe's to Camp fire at all? anything else in stowe?
New bike Stoke. Got out for a real short ride yesterday in Stowe on bear's to test it out.
not dialed yet but it shreds!
Middlesex Fells: Living a couple of klicks from the Fells, I have adopted the trails there. Got in an hour and a half after work yesterday. Probably used up most of it sawing logs and clearing them off the fire roads. I did get to check out the East Fells biggest descent (190+ feet). Good flow, but the hiker wearing headphones mandated some patience. Two large, fallen-tree obstructions into the path got reduced by a few feet last Saturday.
The sad truth is that whine does not age well
I was up there with some friends who did some trails in Stowe in the morning, I drove up after checking out the Pivot demo at the fells (where I missed the large size mach 6 by like 5 minutes, ugh) and doing a few miles there. I gotta go back up and ride the Stowe trails, been hearing too many good things about them. We did more or less all of Perry Hill, at least what is marked. Did Joe's down to yellow (whatever that trail is called), then back up to do Burning Spear to Rastaman.
I liked it because I never get to do long climbs back home. The descents were my favorite, balance of tech and flow and high speed sections.
That a honzo? A singlespeed with long-ish fork has been my lust bike for awhile now, be real fun on some places.
yeah Honzo. Set up 34/20 single speed. Still figuring out the handlebars and am a waiting parts for a sick wheelset for the thing.
Just ordered a SC 5010 even though I'm still nursing a bad wrist sprain from a fall 4 weeks ago...gotta heal up quick, new bike is on the way!

Will be at Sunday River on the 4th if anyone is out and about.
Florence Nightingale's Stormtrooper
I have a rare weekend day off. Anyone riding any where cool tomorrow?
I'll be at the Killington Enduro tomorrow (as a spectator) heckling anospa and his buddy. I will likely have a few cocktails in the sun while those guys suffer if anyone is around. Happy 4th all. Rock.
Happy kid
