05/06 quiver question?

Need some feedback on what to do. Currently I have a bianchi sass single speed, a blur and a heckler coil minus fork brakes and wheels. Problem is I not sure what I want to do for the season with the heckler. The plan was to make the heckler into a burly freeride bike when I lived in KY. Sucks because I sold my vpfree when I thought I wouldn't be moving to NY and bought the heckler frame as it was more suitable for the riding there. Now I'm in NY just hours away from lift serviced riding and wish I still had the vpfree. Ok what to do, here are my choices:
1. sell the heckler frame and build up a IH 7.7 - can get this bike fairly cheep
2. build the heckler up with a sherman, deemax wheels and you it as a "light" dh /fr bike. No racing setup - It has 5.6" of coil travel in the rear which doesn't seem like alot but 6" never slowed me down when I rode a bullit. Cheapest plan
3. sell the blur frame, turn the heckler into a trail bike and buy a full on dh rig like a sunday. again good prices on iron horses.
4. sell the heckler and buy a road bike so I can ride around town in a bunch of sombrio gear and pads.
5. Do # 2, then later in the season go broke buying said full on dh rig a la sunday.

Plan on keeping the SASS no mater what because I plan on racing the SS worlds this year. This may seem trivial but any comments may help, including STFU and go ride your F'ing bike(S).

Incidentally, Sundays are still on hold, and there look to be some potential issues with order filling once they arrive. As a possible alternative, Supergo is selling Turner DHR frames for $1500 right now.

I wouldn't do any option that would make the Heckler into a light DH bike... A friend of mine has broken the shock mount on his twice while doing some smallish drops. He's a big guy, but I still wouldn't trust it.

I broke my blur making it a light trail/fr bike, hence the heckler. depending on how much I can get for either frame I think I'm going to sell one of the two and go either blur / 7 point 7 or heckler / sunday. just need to decide how to get the most out of the bikes. I hate having a nice bike sitting around. Other prob. is I'm not sure how much dh I'll be riding compared to trail / fr stunts compared to flat out xc / trail. I just moved to a new area and am not sure of the options just yet.

In about 2 months I'll live about an hour to the south of you (I think you're in Albany?). You have a lot of opportunities for dh within and hour or two. Plattekill is a rocking place and Jiminy Peak runs their lifts on the weekends. Hunter Mtn. does too, but I've never been there. Way to your south is Mtn Creek, which is nice.

There are also a lot of good places to ride XC... PM gravitylover and he can give you even more insight into the NY bike scene I'm sure. If I could (and hopefully I will) I would have a dh bike and also a trail bike for the area.

What they said. The sass is nice, but it's not the one bike quiver per say.

I think I'm going to sell the heckler frame and get a 7.7 or 7.5 and sell the boxxer. Other options would be another vpfree (although a few things about that bike bothered me), sunday team sell the boxxer or buy a sunday frame kit and build it up. thing about the free is it's lack of buny hoppingness. The thing wants to stick to the ground no matter what. which makes me think the 7.7 will be the same. anyone here demo a 7.7 in vegas that would like to comment?

I wonder how much of that was due to the stable platform on the rear shock? The Bullit (5th element) is the same way, and it took me forever to get used to it. You owned a Bullit though, didn't you?

I think the svp and the sag 2-3" had alot to do with it. My bullit with the 5th took awhile to get it down but I was still able to get up and over stuff with a little advance timing and tweeking.

If I go with this
Bunny hopping will not be needed.
