Is there anything on the east coast for beginner mens giant slalom really looking to get in to racing
No, nothing at all.
There is some good information on this question here, here, and here. Also, nearly every ski area has a ski bums fun racing league (also known as "beer league"), where skiers of EVERY level compete for fun. And many areas have ski clubs that support racers with coaching and race hosting.
Say "hi" to Hans for us!

Yeah I have herd of those things looking for something a little more serious
You said 'beginners', right? Go get involved. You'll meet people who are into it and can point you in the right direction. Also, register for NASTAR. Not GS, but people really get into it, and you can wear your speed suit, which is what this is really about anyway... Digging the irony in your screen name btw.. Good stuff.
Edit: just saw your other thread on the same subject. Fwiw, you seem like exactly the sort of tool who wants to take ski racing really seriously now that you're 40. Pro tip: if you didn't have it when you were 18, you sure as hell don't have it now. Don't be that guy. Or, if you insist on being that guy, go be that guy at epicski.
Have you SEEN a master's race? Shit gets real. Seriously.

Go to Gore any Saturday and ask around the lodge and a short walk over to the end of gates on Twister. Most serious young racers from Jersey and NY metro race and train there.
Killington has a full time school on premises, the Killington Mountain School, that would be a wealth of knowledge, I'm guessing. E-mail them, to start.
You should, for sure. Plenty of opportunity to learn and race with folks along the entire spectrum of skills. From people who have never raced to people with extensive World Cup experience. I know it seemed like I was ribbing you with the "Hans" bit in the other thread...but it may or may not have been based on actual experience I may or may not have had. ;-)
You should have seen that geezer kick the crap outta that course. His name wasn't Hans, but he was Austrian.
