    Utah advice needed

    My first thread!

I'm thinking of one last trip out West next weekend, and Utah is looking favorite. Never been before, so I'm looking to get the best out of the last two, maybe 3 days. Any advice on the best location to stay and play?

I'm thinking it's got to be Alta and Snowbird, and maybe Solitude if I have an extra day?

    Any advice appreciated.

PS: SLC or closer to the mountains?

Swap Solitude for Alta anyday. Less traffic = more freshies for you

I think I have a guy who will sell BIRD tickets for $40.00 tram. Let me know how many in your party.

SLC's not Denver - it's about as close to alta/snowbird/solitude as you can get. It's a lot cheaper than staying up in LCC or BCC, and there will be a lot more options for food in SLC. I've had good luck with snow in Utah in the spring more often than not. I agree that Solitude is great, and you may find more fresh there several days after a storm, but I would not miss Alta. There's just something about it. If you are coming in fresh on the heels of a storm, hit Alta, then hit Solitude a couple of days later.
