    Bitcoin....who's gotten into it?

We heard only put 10% / 15% into BTC. We heard only put in what you can afford to lose.

But it was cricket sounds all day when the question was posed “ok so the other 90% of your investments…any of that going into these banks and this system you’re perpetually ridiculing?”

Because you’ve made it very clear anyone who invests in something while criticizing it is a huge fucking hypocritical idiot worthy of derision…

Literally no part of your link makes that claim. In fact, your link was about depression, not stress. Nor did that link - either depression or stress have anything whatsoever to do with SS's dad's doomerism. IDK man, it's a real stretch.

Further, I don't see volatile, speculative investments as being a great mechanism for sound financial stability.

All the things you wrote are real problems - no doubt. They deserve legitimate consideration, not get rich quick schemes.

    These guys are insane: https://mises.org/mises-wire/deflati...s-good-economy

First, let’s define inflation in a way that no one else does, and under our unique definition of inflation, you all are wrong and stupid.

    Check…

Now our theory says that printing money MUST lead to prolonged slumps, and we’re quite fond of our theory, so we’re just not going to bother to check the historical record to see if the theory holds.

    … and, mate.

Suck it socialists! (Anyone not a libertarian is a socialist, I believe?)

    My people!!!

"The value of the Bitcoin was worth around £2bn at the time of initial estimates - but due to the fluctuation in the currency's value, it has since increased to around £3.4bn."

Although Wen was living in a flat above a Chinese restaurant in Leeds when she became involved in the criminal activity, her new lifestyle saw her move into a six-bedroom house in north London in 2017 which was rented for more than £17,000 per month.
Maybe Byates can follow this path and get a shower now and again.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I've showered and soaked across the street from you for 4 years the entire time amongst Bozemans hottest chicks in bikinis.

Think about that the next time you're on the shitter alone in your bathroom.

This one has been bugging me for a few days. Nobody cares if you buy bitcoin or not and nobody cares what you think of it. Really.

Me and byates and stalefish are all completely different in our opinions on the purpose and possibilities of the tech, our hopes and dreams, hahaha. We all want to gain wealth though.

    Bitcoin....who's gotten into it?

I too am completely different in my opinions on the purpose and possibilities of the tech. I too want to gain wealth - which is why I own BTC amongst other projects.

It’s just comical (and frankly fascinating) to witness the purity tests clearly held dear by the devout Maxi and their loyalty to the brand. Any FUD is not tolerated - it’s not even examined honestly. And the hypocrisy is rampant - and any discussion about that is met with “you’re the hypocrite for owning BTC and not believing everything good said about it”

If you can’t see that I don’t know what to say - other than I also find that fascinating. You guys can be interested in the coins - I can be interested in those coins and in the cognitive dissonance.

Shera if you don’t care to hear about it from me feel free to put me on ignore rather than try to circle the wagons and gatekeep this thread in the padded room of a skiing forum. You’re just making my point for me. There are plenty of discord/telegram/subreddits out there that will allow for unfettered “hopes and dreams” talk.

And yet still no word on where the devout maxis put their other 90% of invested money…

yeah there's a stereotypical image of a bitcoin maxi, maybe it's true for some fraction of bitcoin holders

Yeah - we’re talking about the fraction of BTC holders who would respond to criticism with “nobody cares what you think of it” ?

No - those are just the "devout maxis."

I suspect there are *lots* of gamblers just trying to get rich. And don't give a rat's ass about the details. Which I completely respect.

sure, gamblers, but a lot of people with mixed or nuanced views or simple infatuation with tech (nerd factor). It's a spectrum. The world is not a binary place.

Maybe it the extreme views that are the loudest and get the most airtime, seems a theme these days, politically and otherwise

If you want to continue this discussion then first off explain how it is you felt entitled to state that you personally not caring what I think = “nobody cares what you think. Really.”

That’s a pretty arrogant statement. Do you really feel you speak for all mags? Fascinating again.

Or maybe you speak for just all mags that own BTC? I don’t remember agreeing to that.
