    I don't think the timing is too far off normal. The daffodils are past their peak and the tulips are just starting to bloom there.

    Are the flowers natural growth though? It seems like there are so many and they are so perfect that it is a farm or something....sweet either way.

    I think that MBS is creating a nitch for himself in landscape photography so that the next time that the PNW doesn't get any snow, he has a fallback.

    No, not natural. The Skagit Valley is a big producer of tulips and daffs for the cut flower, and primarily, bulb markets. The Skagit Tulip Festival takes place every April and it's a major tourist draw.

    Yours is much better than all the usual Skagit flower drivel, though.

    Time to start taking the "April alternate avoid 20 route" out of here.

    try living in pretty much the geographical center of the tulip festival. there is no leaving between 9 am and 6 pm, period.
