Lookout Pass conditions? I-90, MT/ID border

for the mags (like funken or Pollard) who went to Bridger last weekend (where the hell was your TR btw?), or to anybody else who's driven it recently, how was Lookout Pass? It's the pass on I-90, right at the MT-ID border. Specifically, I'm wondering if you'd take it without snow tires on...I potentially have a lot of very flat and dry road to cover to Oklahoma, so having snow tires on for one pass seems kind of retarded.

Was the pass pretty dry? Or was it nasty?

Jumper - I can't say that I have driven it recently. However, judging by Lookout's recent snow I would say that there may be a bit of gnar gnar, there usually is. But this latest storm is pretty wet and not too cold. Take it for what it's worth.

I'm sure you are probably aware of this site, but just in case - http://www.mdt.state.mt.us/travinfo/winter.shtml

Here is the Idaho road report website. I think they keep it pretty up-to-date.

Last Sunday the road conditions were good enough for a road bike.
