    Quiver complete

Looks like someone deleted the fixed gear thread (couldn't find it). So I'll announce this here. Purchased a fixed gear roadie to complete my quiver. My wife might leave me, but I'm all set for bikes .
    Quiver: Specialized Langster (road)
    Trek OCLV 9800 (xc mt)
Surly Instigator (urban, dj, trail, free ride)
    Balfa 2StepDH (Free Ride, DH)
I'm an instant convert to the fixed gear thing. It's going to be just the ticket for getting my leg strength back. I'm so stoked. Had a blast riding it today.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anywhoo, welcome to the fixie crowd. That raw, un-freewheeled connection is about as zen as it gets on two wheels.

awesome man, although i think you still have way too many gears there to start claiming purist fixie propaganda.
As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

Heh...Yeah I've got two fixed gear rides under my belt, and suddenly I'm a purist. I think the deraileurs and cogs from my other bikes equal the weight of the Langster. I am really into it, though. Already took off the back break . "Coasting is a pernicious habit"

I am f'ing LOVING this fixed gear thing! I'm having a blast, and I've taken it at some pretty steep hills and done just fine. I'm absolutely obsessed.
