Summit Co. (Breck) Help Needed Badly

Please give me a hand guys.
I know some HS kids (6) coming out to Breck for Spring Break. They will be riding 3 of 4 days between April 6-9. For some insane reason their leader has told them that lift tix will be around $20 and they will need to rent equipment on top of that for around $10.

Now you and I know that this is BS, especially since their leader has told them they will be buying walk up tickets at the resort.

    A) Anyone know where they can get some tix for less than the $39 off-season rate?

    B) Anyone work at or have connections with a shop that would be willing to bend the rules and give these kids a good deal on ski/board rental packages?

One of them is my brother in-laws son, and I would truly appreciate any help you could throw my way.

    Thanks,
    David

PS: I really hate to grovel and ask for this kind of shit but there leader has kind of fucked them. I'm relatively sure that he's taking their cash to finance his ski trip and left them hanging out to dry. Either that or he is a complete dumbass.

Edit: This is all preliminary until I actually talk to the teacher in charge of the trip tomorrow. If you can help them out in any way drop me a PM as this should probably be handled out of the public eye. I've gotta get some hard budget numbers to work with, my brother-in-law's son is NOT exactly the most reliable source of information.

I am assuming that they will fly into DIA and drive from Denver to the mountains. Tell them they need to stop at a king soopers and buy discount lift tickets there. go to kingsoopers.com and use the store finder and go to any location in Denver (probably near the highway). This will be your cheapest option for 3 of 4 day tickets.

About 4 years ago they offered an "April pass" which was $30 and good for the until closing at Abasin, Breck, Kstone. Tell them to ask if there are any April passes available but I don't know if they still do this because as I said this was 4 years ago. Tell them to rent gear in Dillon. I'll bet you can get some shitty gear for $10/day if you get the cheapest package. Good luck.

Check out craigslist.com. There are a ton of 4 packs for sale there on the cheap.

If I take Mr. Stinky as an interpreter do you think I could hook up with a Russian chick?

Edit: Thanks everyone for the suggestions, some I already knew of but most were news to me.

I know you can rent skis at Gart Sports in Dillon for $10 a day. As for lift tickets, I suggest the King Soopers idea as well.

I think he may have been speaking Russian that night in the Million Dollar Cowboy.

Rough deal. The $10 rentals can be had. Call the ski shops (Breeze is cheap) and tell them the story. Play the various shops against each other. For tickets, talk to as may people in group sales as you can. Be honest about the fact that their group leader hosed them and the these kids are being set up to be heart broken. If you find the right person, they can get it done. Good luck. As much as the corporate ski world sucks ass, there are those that stil get a smile on their face by helping kids get after it.

It is well known (at least by the denverites) that you can get better discounts in the front range than up in the ski towns.
