    stupid binding question

can you switch brakes on bindings? i.e. can you put a wide brake (for an 80 mm ski) on Marker m54 bindings that already have a narrower brake? i know its a bad call to mess aorund with bindings, just wondering if this is possible

Just curious, but are we totally ignoring the appropriate forums now? Seems people just don't give a fuck anymore.

I think this question would be better asked in The Padded Room
I went out there in search of experience. To taste, and to touch, and to feel as much as a man can, before he repents.

But can we really expect him to know this after "only" 527 posts?

Not sure about Markers, but switching brakes on Solly's are as simple as a few screws. Looks are tricky (nice thread in tech talk about it), and Tyrolias seem to vary. However, switching brakes will not affect the performance of the binding other than stopping your ski.

I think the important thing here, is to tell you that if you're switching your brakes to keep your markers from pre-releasing, it won't work. You're going to have to go w/ rossi/looks or soli's for that. Sorry man.
