Go-pro "toy" helicopter w/ autopilot that follows your smartphone

    The Pocket Drone

I just saw someone post this on facebook. This has some seriously cool potential for skiing, biking, etc... Not sure if it's already been posted here but I might pull the trigger to see what it can really do. There is one mode on it that flies via auto pilot and follows the GPS signal on your phone pointing the gopro at you the whole way. I can think of a lot of possibilities with this.

I think drones are pretty cool in general, but I'm not sure that one looks fast enough to keep up with you while skiing/biking if you wanted to use it for follow and film purposes. I'd email the designers and ask about speed. Most of the action shots were of things moving past it and the one with the bikes seems to show a little kid pulling away from the drone. On the other hand, even if you couldn't get it to follow you down a line, there are lots of other shots that it would make possible.

I remember posting about something like this a while ago in the padded room... This kickstarter isn't the first attempt at this idea.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Man that would be so fun to put on someone's phone and not tell them about it.

"don't go outside! There's a freakin drone following me!"
Besides the comet that killed the dinosaurs nothing has destroyed a species faster than entitled white people.-ajp
