I still believe the extremes are bouncing back and forth much more than it used to.

It really seems that way.

I also saw a pretty big avy off Zuma cornice in A-Basin (looking at the webcam). The wind has really done a number on most above treeline terrain in the ten mile and along the divide.

More global weirding. Shit is getting fucked up everywhere.

I wouldn't be surprised if this current NW to northern rocky mountain flow shuts off in 2 weeks and everything shifts somewhere completely differently. These erratic patterns are wreaking havoc on our snowpacks and nothing seems normal any longer.

Things now seem to go from one extreme to another.

I think you just described CO weather in general. It's pretty much all extremes where a few big storms during the season could make all the difference between having an above normal or below normal snowpack for the year...continental vs. maritime snowpack. I think the only weather in CO that is semi-consistent is the summer monsoons.
