Yeah, I showed that to my boss who only lets me on here at lunch. She said, "well, I guess if you can find those types of companies, go for it".

She said it in a joking manner, but still.

Wasn't it also proved that letting employees have a short midafternoon nap raised productivity?

Instead of tired, depressed, mistake-prone employees wading through the 3 p.m. doldrums until quitting time, you get perky "let's-get-it-done" people powering through the afternoon.

It made a lot of sense to me, but it never flew at work.

I always got my postprandial 10 minute nap in the quiet showroom-area bathroom anyway, but it was nice that the boys in labcoats proved me right.
