Kinda makes you wonder if this has always been going on, but it's just easier to get caught nowadays. Especially makes a great story on the news when the teacher is a woman.

Probably. I knew a guy in college who claimed to have had a long-term sexual relationship with one of his high school english teachers. We called BS, but then he pulled out a stack of photos that removed all doubt. Supposedly at some point shortly after he graduated administrators became suspicious and both of them were questioned, but ultimately they were unable to prove anything beyond them being platonic friends outside of school. This was somewhere in the Santa Cruz area. This was pre-social media/smartphone society, and the dude was intelligent enough not to brag about it until he had moved many zip codes away.

ETA: Ms. McAuliffe can tutor me any time. Wow.
