It gets lonely down here at the top........

edit: I was amazed at how many people in the lift line at the Wood today knew all about the Bros. Changed a new nickel with a maggot named Lou who called me out on the skis.

Next two days will be golden for skiing the Sierra. I'll be getting Wood.

I have had a heap of fun on them over the last three weeks skiing the hard pack, crud and gunk at Alta .. but today they were sure in their element!

Jeez I had a ball on them!

Sadly (not really) the Bros were covered with snow all day.

The only person that commented on them was a dude who was skiing a pair of skis his buddy had made for him ....

Splat. Pleasure to meet "the man." The wood did deliver today for sure. Funny thing about the Bros... with the number of maggots that frequent Kirkwood, I have only met Vets and you, both by the grace of the Bros. Tim

Wearing the Bros is liking walking a brand new puppy through a group of hotties at the park. Too bad most of the questions on the Bros come from dudes.

I have got to stop reading this stuff.
It blows out my floating point processor with formulae like:
    x = (NO_SNOW)+(NO_BROS)+(BORREGO_SPRINGS);

Yes. It will increase your level of prestige. But if you want to increase your level of skiing, you'll have to get some Bros.

Funny, there are even claims of Bro Model sightings that I don't think are real.
I walked into the Battered Beaver after skiing yesterday and some guy runs up to me and says "Dude, I was standing on that cornice you went flying off up in the Saddle! That was rad." and I'm like "Yeah, I have magic skis," and point at the Bros. He then proceeds to tell me he works at a shop in Santa Monica and has mounted a bunch of Bros. I look at him and say " Don't talk that shit to me. You've never even seen them before." And he insists he's mounted "at least three pair." Since I know where I've shipped every pair of Bros, and none have gone into Santa Monica, I can say with certainty that people are now trying to be hip just by claiming they know about the Bros. Weird.

Did you tell him your connection to the ski?

I'll bet that dude works at Doc's. They're the only 1/2 way decent shop in Santa Monica ('xcept the Surefoot, but they don't mount many skis). And they're incredibly big bullsh!ters over there.

You and me both Buster. I'm not busting Splat's chops on the delay since they never would have seen fresh PNW snow. That's why I asked for mine to be one of the last ones made this year (Well, that and the production bug killings). Going to get them mounted & tuned at 1 & 2 and spend the summer waxing 'em. I figure 20 waxings should do it.
Good runs when you get them.

Thanks Splat...I was concerned that a sticker for a Nevada ski company wouldn't work on a German ski.

    Splat,

That guy from Santa Monica wasn't kidding. There's already a slew of cheap knock-off Bros that have been imported from china.

I hear that Boston Mills already has a fleet of bros in the rental shop, in sizes down to 145cm.

Please have a qualified German shop professional perform the application.

    Thumbs up

I saw some dude twice recently with a set of bros in the GMD. Didn't recognize the outfit but I think the word is getting out to non-mags.

Got any blem-bros available, splat? Daddy got a raise recently.

This is a fact. It's a cheap knockoff, from 142 to 178, and 68cm waists. They're mounted with Marker rental bindings.

They're a light blue but instead of the bomber on the tip there's a Cessna 140.

    They're called the Woe Model.
    It's idomatic, beatch.
