    Patching old binding holes?

I'm mounting some new bindings to my powder boards, and they share a similar but slightly different template...

One of the old holes for the toe piece goes unused with the new setup. I'm planning on patching it to keep out moisture.

Was going to use a normal overnight cure two part epoxy... Was wondering if anyone has any advice on if that will work well, or if there is something better.

plugging holes, a TGR past time.

That's fine. Just needs to keep the water out. I've used plastic pound-in plugs, epoxy, and this last round of mounts a few weeks back just filled the holes with hot glue.

Anything to keep water out. Ideally removable at a later date. Ski shops use plastic plugs (as noted by lrudes pic, above.) Your two part epoxy is more than enough.

If you ever want to reuse the holes, P-Tex works fairly well.

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna go with the epoxy because it's what I have lying around. It's very unlikely I'll need to re-use the holes but if I do I can always redrill.

    Thanks

I've always been a fan of epoxy. I figure it is the best way to seal the skis. I found the Lepage syringes particularly useful (although a little pricey - $8 will patch 2-3 pair of skis). Super handy because the syringe assures you get epoxy right down to the bottom of the hole (I always had trouble completely filling the hole with regular 2 part epoxies you mix yourself).

Do what you like, Like what you do.
