Arrow Mammy TR ( for the dual board challenged)

Bittersweet possible final TR from Mammy. I am not sure if I will get back up again before I have to find a new home-move-etc.

I am a day late, but you know what they say…

Monday and Tuesday were very warm and sunny. Beautiful Cali skiing. Coverage is pretty good for pre-thanksgiving. I’d say there’s about 2-3 ft base. It’s been windy so it’s hard and there are some spots blown down to rock on north and west facing. Eastern aspects have a bit of forgiveness. You will even hit a bit of soft(ish) chunky crud in some of the seams between the spines off Scotty’s and Cornice.

Lower mtn groomers like stump alley under chair 2 and broadway are smooth and very fast. Very few people in the early season on Monday means the radar screen is clear for early morning screamers.

If you are jonesing for some more big mountain style stuff, your options are a bit more limited. Let ‘em run at your own (and your bases) risk. It’s tempting to get some big fast arcs, but beware of Chevy’s (my new name for land sharks) lurking right below the surface ready to put you right over the tips in a split-second.

    Good bets are:
Skiers far left of cornice run (red line)
    Drop one (pink line)

You will have to climb a little up from the cornice, but the few turns you get above the gaper traverse are worth it.

    Best line I found was:
Scotty’s Monument- bomb around road runner and drop in just east of the monument. Good snow and and fun chocolate chip dodge (pink lines)

Here’s the ride out from there

    Note- land sharks

Looks like more snow on the way. Get up there and git some! I might be able to get up once more Mon/Tues after T-day.

    I miss it already.

Damn, gonna miss the weekly Armchair Mammy reports. Good luck with the move and new opportunity ahead. So far this season's storms have been favoring us weekend warriors. Some will be gotten this weekend as it was last weekend and the weekend before. I had what has to be the best run of my life last Sunday. First tracks down Drop 3, boot deep, wide open, full throttle and only skimmed a few 'Chevy's'. Also got a killer untracked line down Wipe 3 to Scotty's right before I almost killed Barnballs and his friend. It's been an excellent November so far...

Thanks again ACE for the beta. Your reports WILL be missed.
There must be some pretty sweet rewards for you in New York, best of luck to you!!

Sheebz and I intended on sticking around on Monday, but the forecast at the time looked good for the end of the week, so we came home in hopes of Friday powder. Now it looks as if the 2 feet of powder has turned into 10 feet of wind with only a few inches of fresh to blow around. But hey, we will take what we can get and will love every minute.

Sweet pics ACE! Don't worry- I'm pretty sure our Igs are sharkproof

Too bad I never got out of weekend warrior status in Hell A. Would have been great to rip some up with you in Mammy....one day I hope to know and love her as much as Kirkweed, instead treating of it as a redheaded stepchild.

Best of luck in the City. Short-term sacrifice with long term gain. Mammy will always be there. In the meantime we'll get some for you.
