Please don't get me wrong Pa, I know you're not looking for pity, but I do feel bad for you. I do however have no pity towards the girl, she made a whole lot of people feel worse than she ever did, including her parents. They have to live with that for the rest of their lives wondering what they could have done differently etc, and that's fucked up after they spent so long raising her. My apology is given if I was taken the wrong way.

Sorry, PA, that's sad no matter how objectively you want to look at it.

It's too bad people have a tendency to conceptualize things online, she was a living person. Personally, if I wanted to spew negativity about something related to the person who died, I'd do it in another thread, or at another time, but that's just me.

I think Blurred needs to read some Ayn Rand. It's all selfish, dude, you just have to look a little deeper to find some of it.

I've been told this a lot. Maybe I will.

Although I may question his err...timing, I agree wholeheartedly with Brett regarding suicides and their selfish nature.

One of my best friends in College decided one day that he'd had enough, bought a bottle of Jack Daniels, drank it, and hung himself in the woods in a cloverleaf of an Interstate onramp. We didn't find his body for 2 weeks.

I miss you Lou, but fuck you to hell.

Regarding depression and suicide...my mother always imparted to me (paraphrasing here) that nothing in life is such that it requires a solution so permanent as death.

I wish these people had somebody kind, soothing, & wise like my mom to talk to.

No, Brett is intelligent. No mistake written. He (and myself too) can be a total ass sometimes. I dont think he is here though, just telling it how he sees it.

Suicide is selfish and it sucks. I wish the best to anyone who thinks or have thought about it. Just picture in your head all the people that love you. That is what you are leaving for no good reason. Life can be tough, hell even, but it is life and needs to be lived to the fullest.

Think about it. You don't think people who kill themselves consider the effect it will have on those around them? I'd expect it weighs heavily into the decision, but they feel even with that factored in it's not enough.

If someone had enough pain in their life that the joy couldn't catch up, you should think about how it must have been for them to live, and to make that decision. Try a little compassion instead of thinking pity and/or anger are the only options.

Thinking only of how their decision affected you is pretty fucking selfish.

For anyone who kills themselves, I feel nothing but compassion and sorrow for the pain they must have gone through leading up to it. Feeling anger would be much to egotistical for me to swallow.
