LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A jury acquitted tough-guy actor Robert Blake
of murder Wednesday in the shooting death of his wife four years
ago, a stunning verdict in a case that played out like pulp
fiction.

Sorry, not trying to hijack this thread, but real quick, I thought he wasn't convicted yet. He could face up to like 80 years in jail though.

I thought he was but I don't ever leave the office so I could be full of shit. But there have been plenty of people with lots of money who went to jail.

they're both prolly guilty, but I agree with what you are saying. Seemed like more evidence against Blake.

Well - "they" haven't told "us" there was ANY evidence against Peterson, and he was convicted. (Total scumbag, yes - but I'd really like to see what evidence there was. Maybe it'll come out over the coming weeks)

Blake, on the other hand - had gunpowder residue on his skin & clothing, but had a "reasonable" excuse.

At least OJ will have a new golfing buddy.

Lacy Peterson was a young, photogenic, pregnant woman whose husband was cheating on her. Blake's wife was a somewhat skanky looking woman in her 40's or 50's. Beretta was so cool! Who would take care of the cockateel? I'm not implying that we live in any type of f'ed up shallow society or anything.

Ebbers was found guilty today but has not been sentenced yet. He'll probably get 2-3 years followed by house arrest for another year. Maybe if the judge's roids are acting up the day of sentencing he'll have to pay restitution totalling 5-10% of what he profited from the stock options he cashed in on. Not a bad commission for that kind of jack.
