    Even better:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO, CA HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH FOR THE WEST SLOPE OF THE NORTHERN SIERRA NEVADA INCLUDING WESTERN PLUMAS COUNTY AND LASSEN PARK.

A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN WILL ALLOW THE PACIFIC STORM TRACK TO BRING PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW TO THE SIERRA NEVADA BEGINNING FRIDAY EVENING AND CONTINUING THROUGH THE WEEKEND. ONE TO TWO FEET OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE FROM FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...WITH AN ADDITIONAL FOOT OR MORE POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY.

Good enough for you SP? I'll be there on Sunday.

    Spatulate, BITCHES!!

supu, keep the faith brother. this is a classic sierra storm: starts off warm w/snow levels around 6000 feet Fri afternoon, and lowering to lake level by Sat afternoon (4000-5000 ft). comes in high and wet and lays down that nice base, then drops the light pow on top of that....there will be 1-2 feet of new snow by Sat afternoon, more Sat night to freshen things up, and Sun will rock

had to add this, 'cause i like the phrase "spring will come in like a lion" hell ya!

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING TO SUNDAY
    EVENING..

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO, CA HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH FOR THE WEST SLOPE OF THE NORTHERN SIERRA NEVADA
INCLUDING WESTERN PLUMAS COUNTY AND LASSEN PARK.

A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN WILL ALLOW THE PACIFIC STORM TRACK TO
BRING PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW TO THE SIERRA NEVADA BEGINNING FRIDAY

ARE POSSIBLE FROM FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...WITH AN

INITIALLY SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT BETWEEN 5500 AND 6000 FEET AND
THEN WILL LOWER TO 4500 FEET TO 5000 FEET SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY.
WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF
THE SIERRA NEVADA CAUSING BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR
SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. FUTURE DRIVING CONDITIONS MAY BECOME
HAZARDOUS, SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

THOSE PLANNING TRAVEL TO THE SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND
SHOULD NOT BE MISLED BY THE WARM SPRING-LIKE WEATHER OF THE LAST
SEVERAL DAYS. OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA THIS YEAR...SPRING WILL COME
    IN LIKE A LION.

The NOAA is dropping the eastern religion style analogy:

...SPRING BEGINS SUNDAY MORNING BUT WILL COME IN LIKE A LION OVER THE INTERIOR OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA...

Magic 8 Ball says: "Very Doubtful"

The chances of SuPu going to Mammoth are about the same as him hooking up with a non-Asian older woman like Betty White.

Yeah, I stole the 8-Ball idea from you, Spats...

    I'm there Sunday for sure.
