Friday Night: Snow showers. Snow accumulation 1 inch.
Saturday: Cloudy. Chance of snow. Snow accumulation 2 inches.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy. Chance of snow. Snow accumulation 2 inches.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of snow. Probability of measurable precipitation 30 percent.)
1 inch? 2 inches? 2 inches? sounds like AKPM measuring his weiner.

I'll be in Oooooooootah this weekend. Not that AKA will ever do a run with me anyways.

I thought i heard someone yell at me at one point, failed to see the red pants though. If it truly dumps I might have to come up for one run to redeem myself on kodak. But if it's going as SuPu says in the inches, I doubt the LZ will be soft enough if I decide to do a repeat of the last attempt.Originally Posted by AKA
I'll be up there Saturday or Sunday depending on the weather. Sunday is looking more likely but I'll defer to Ullr.
I feel the powerful draw inside me even though I can't ski right now. Must see the snow fall one last time b/4 the season is over and make my peace w/ Kirkwood. I'll be staying/partying in SLT this weekend and chilling at Bub's on Sunday if this thing goes down. Stop in for a beer.Originally Posted by AKA

I'll be up there Sunday for sure, possibly Saturday, too depending how this storm shapes up.
I'll be there this weekend.
... UNSETTLED WEATHER WITH SNOW IN THE SIERRA THIS WEEKEND...
A PACIFIC WEATHER SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE CALIFORNIA COAST ON FRIDAY... BRINGING MOUNTAIN SNOW AND VALLEY RAIN TO THE SIERRA AND NORTHEAST CALIFORNIA BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON... THEN SPREADING INTO WESTERN NEVADA ON FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. RAIN AND SNOW IS LIKELY TO CONTINUE THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEKEND... ESPECIALLY IN THE SIERRA. SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO START OUT AROUND 6000 FEET FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY THEN LOWER TO 4500 TO 5000 FEET SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL IS POSSIBLE ABOVE 5000 FEET WITH THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ABOVE 7000 FEET. TRAVEL COULD BECOME DIFFICULT IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS FROM LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS WEEKEND....
Tonight I called the office and asked them if they could arrange a new passport and a plane ticket to Kirkwood, for myself.

....you'll need a guide that listens to hardcore punk heavy metal thrash bands like minor threat and the dead kennedy's that's also a king derilict, original badboy, Mohican terrorist and star of a low-budget dirtbag ski movie called Maltese Flamingo...
....
Don't forget that he also must listen to Black Flag, shred moguls on DH boards, wear three pastel Izod shirts, with the collars up, must launch his first turns of the morning while everybody else is drinking their coffe and he must ski lines that even Scot Schmidt thinks is a bad idea to ski.Originally Posted by skier666

THE STRONG HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WHICH HAS BROUGHT A PERIOD OF DRY
WEATHER LASTING ALMOST TWO WEEKS HAS NOW BEGUN TO BREAK DOWN. THIS WILL ALLOW THE PACIFIC STORM TRACK TO TAKE AIM BACK ON NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE FIRST OF SEVERAL WEATHER SYSTEMS EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE NORTH STATE WILL BRING PRECIPITATION TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BY AS EARLY AS FRIDAY AFTERNOON. PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY PRECIPITATION ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY WITH RAIN AND SNOW CONTINUING INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT RELATIVELY HIGH ON FRIDAY THEN DROP TO AROUND 5000 FEET BY SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS COULD RANGE FROM ONE TO TWO FEET BY SUNDAY. RAINFALL IN THE VALLEY THROUGH THE WEEKEND IS EXPECTED TO TOTAL FROM ABOUT AN INCH TO AND INCH AND A HALF.
Yeah, bring it!!
