    TR: Seasons End

Regular Trout Season is now over in VT, it was a solid one. There is a non stocked wild fish only river that runs in front of my house. It only turns on in the fall when the spawn starts and fish begin moving up from the main stem. During the season it is all but dead so its great to find some nice fish in there, in what is otherwise a frustrating summer time fish. So we did our annual season ender on it and had a great time. The surrounding scenery makes it some of the most visually pleasing river fishing you can do in VT.

The river has a lot of different water:

    Some great farm stretches

    And Gorge stretches.

    and nice colored up fishes

A good day of swinging meat in Vt, time for migratory species and low catch rates!

    Thanks for looking

Nice job. I love that size fish. Which is fortunate, cause I suck at catching big ones.

^^ thanks, yeah in Vt we are not blessed with tail waters of out west etc. So some of these are actually good size fish for around these parts and this tiny river. 18-20" + trout only happen a few times a summer.

Good stuff dood! Love that shot of the [redacted ] with Manny in the background. It's awesome that you can get such nice fish in such tiny waters.
