Its bad enough when insults fly between fellow skiers of the same area.

Now keyboard jockeys from distant lands dump their own spite into the Wasatch morass.

    Pathetic.

Wasatch powder turds landed on Dutches draw today. It was busy, with probably 100ppl an hour going out the 9990 gate. This strikes me as an incredibly unsafe practice, and unneighborly.

They proceeded to take their guest down "tree-time" which was completely tracked up garbage that we haven't bothered to ski in days. I'd be fucking pissed if I was a paying guest, but I have a feeling they were doing "freebies" so industry suck-ups and assholes can blog about how awesome they are for heli-skiing

they also congregated for high fives and hot cocoa in the bottom of the slide path, considering alll the tourist from texas dropping in on them on conehead it didn't seem like the safest place to stop.

    it was surreal...

Tough to tell, but you can see the prop wash on the ridgeline

Fuck them. I left this review on their FB page:

"Thanks for landing on us today on the Dutch draw ridgeline. ....A real neighborly, and safe practice on a crowded ridge that likely had over a hundred exits/hr out of the 9990 gate. You proceeded to take your guest down a tracked up slope, and used unsafe travel practices.
Overall, I have to give you one star, but I'd rather give you one finger and file a complaint with the FAA."

    Subtle enough?

Ps.I realize no one gives a shit about Dutches, but this is just fucking wrong. Is there any recourse I can take? file a FAA complaint? Shame them on FB? Dog shit under the door handle of their helo?

Figure 8 Hill and North and NE facing runs off the ridge to Patsey Marley stayed powdery and without any warming or sun damage yesterday (Fri. 3/7). Cool temperatures and only intermittent sun break throughs helped a lot to keep the 5"-6" of new snow dry. Went there after seeing a photo posted by SFB from last Monday. Also tried to go there on Tues. with a group of 3, but we backed off due to extremely flat light that day. Yesterday had pretty decent lighting and much more new snow than Tues.

Saw 3 guys looking back up at their tracks from the bottom of Pressure Drop (or maybe Big Bang -- they didn't know what they had skied) chute that starts just a tad West of the summit of Wolverine (did not see them skiing it). I talked to them at the skin up start below Twin Lakes Pass. They were from Vancouver, BC. They came here to ski because they say the Pacific NW coastal areas is having a shitty year. One of them had skied Blackcomb back-country a few days ago and said it was pretty bad. Interior BC was better though not great they said.

Warm on the skin up from Alta at 9. Wasatch powderkeg had everyone lycraed out at brighton so it was surprisingly empty in the sheep pen. 2 leisurely laps in east bowl and one cabin ridge run. No pits dug but everything on N faces was pretty much green light and some nice surface hoary turns in the trees. No instabilities noted and cold dry snow on the N end of the compass where I skied. On the exit around 2 cut above a suspect convexity and my sluff pulled out a wet slab below me about 40 feet across and it went probably 300 feet really slow. Watch out on the late exits. Oh and superior is tracked the fuck out.

Fresh tracks down Kessler e cooly were pretty nice this am. Manageable sluffing. Sun aspects in the gut were getting a little affected. Exit was just starting to turn for the worse just before noon.
